It's definitely not a shack! This place was great! It is smaller, but it can seat a large party, especially at the large bar which was a nice set up. They even have a nice small area that's sectioned off for a small family size. We showed up later in the evening, (there was 6 of us), and we were the only ones there. As soon as we placed our orders we could hear the fish starting to fry. The food was delicious and hot! In no time we had our food. The fried catfish was perfect, not chewy and not mushy. Some places you get quality food but the quantity is small. Here at The Fish Shack you get quality and quantity, and the prices wasn't bad. I should have taken a picture of the receipt. 6 full meals with fries drinks. Even my picky 8 year old loved it. The service was great! I highly recommend checking this...

Stopped by today for our first time after we saw it on Outside the Levees show on YouTube and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by the sweetest lady! She made us feel like we had just walked into our favorite family members house at Thanksgiving and she hadn’t seen us all year lol The atmosphere was excellent, it was clean and our waitress was very knowledgeable and fast but never felt like we were being rushed. We tried the boudin egg rolls and instantly regretted only ordering 2. They are divine! We got a shrimp poboy and fried shrimp tacos and it was delicious. We arrived around 4:30 and were the only ones there. Mostly, people were ordering takeout & picking it up at the pickup window. Masks are required. The server who took our order was very nice. I got the fried shrimp tacos with slaw & 3 hush puppies. The shrimp had a light, crispy crunch and tasted fresh. The slaw was a nice compliment. My only suggestion would be to have smaller flour tortilla shells with the same amount of filling. The shells they use leave lots of bites of just tortilla...not my fave. Hubs said his "bottom feeder" was fried perfectly...4 pieces of fish, fries & one hush puppy. He was wondering why just one? Hush puppies...
