We Scream Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Louisville

Last night was the third time I visited this cute little shop, and it was again such a treat! I sampled the oatmeal cream pie, which was excellent (tasted just like those little oatmeal cream pies) and I considered going with that, but opted for banana pudding sundae (again 🙂). It was, of course, wonderful! The only suggestion I have (which is why I'm giving it four instead of five stars) is that employees please, please wear gloves when handling items/ toppings that you have to directly touch. The young lady sliced a banana for my sundae and picked up the slices with bare hands (also the little cookies). Not wearing gloves in these instances goes against safe food handling. I don't know if their policy doesn't include this measure or if this young lady just neglected to do so. While this wasn't the usual perfect experience it definitely won't keep me from going back (next time I'll kindly ask them to wear gloves, or I'll forego the bananas). This place is kid heaven. On week days they have hot wheels tracks out for them to play with, along with their regular toys on each table. The ice cream flavors offer both traditional options and few fun, southern ones- like fruit cobblers and oatmeal pie. The prices are great and they offer a true kid cup so you don’t have to throw out half your kids ice cream or worry about them eating way too much. In addition, my kiddo happened to get sick here this week and made a big mess at a table. While I wiped up what I could with napkins, the owner was so understanding and immediately got cleaner. I walked in And said this is our first time and I already can't wait to come back!!! We walked down here after eating dinner at jaymar we saw it looking for a parking spot...we were like oh let's get ice cream but the vibe and the decor and everything about this place is 10/10!
