El Nopal Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Louisville

Mexican restaurants are my favorite so I visit a lot of them, and this has got to be one of the best I've been to! I went in with a group of 5 and all of our food was piping hot, and it all came out to the table at the same time. Our waiter kept our drinks and chips refilled and checked on us at appropriate intervals throughout our meal. Sweet tea here was excellent. I wish I caught his name to mention him here but suffice it to say he was one of the best servers I've had in a long time! The atmosphere was very nice and it felt cozy despite it being a bit packed for an early dinner rush. I really have no bad things to say. We did not have to wait for seating, our server was incredibly attentive asking if we needed more time to look at the menu, if we needed anything else, etc. Their chips were super fresh! And the salsa 🤤. I'll definitely stop by for takeout sometime just to grab some of it. I'm not a fan of chunky salsa, so the smoother consistency hit just right for me. Queso was great with just a hint of heat. We had two large orders for our table of 5 but one order would have been plenty. The chicken and steak we had was so juicy and fresh and the rice was perfect ♥️ cannot say enough good things. I look forward to having many more great experiences at this location in...

Went after wedding rehearsal..a party of 15. We had to ask for silverware after everyone had their dinners. Two dinners had wrong meat, wrong sauce and after sending one back 3 times we finally just decided to eat anyway and the person who sent it back the third time, everyone was finished and they basically had to eat alone. Staff in big hurry to take orders and felt rushed to get the words out of your mouth before he moved on to next person and order. That is why they get orders wrong. Better attitudes would help no to mention the rushed service. Would not ever go back. This was a very important night that was more aggregation than enjoyment....

The restraunt was busy. When we got our food the chicken was raw in the center. We sent it back and the manager said they would make us two new dinners. They brought the same plates back that had been microwaved. We have always had good service and loved the food so the next week we gave them another chance. Took us 45 minutes to get our food. There was a new girl working the cash register and every male worker including the manager was busy talking to her and not doing their job. So disappointing...we really loved this restraunt. You guys need to get it together...there certainly is not a shortage of Mexican restaurants in...
