This was my first & last time spending any money at the First Watch on Bardstown Rd. A) the hostess has to go to the back twice to get help just to ring in my order. I figured surely she's new but I don't know why they don't have anybody up here with her if she's not completely capable of ringing the orders by herself... B) the patio area where we wanted to eat had not been cleaned up in a while as there were crumbs all over the benches and seats... C) when the lady brought my drinks out she spilled them on my friend, but I'm in the service interested and I know what it's like the spill a drink so I left that one go as well... D) when we got our food my sandwich was made wrong. The hostess told me that they're nothing came on the sandwich besides ham and cheese, but it came out with tomatoes and some kind of sauce that I didn't know what it was, nor did i like the taste... E)when we got up to leave, we seen that there was somebody's fake eyelash underneath of our food. There's really just no excuse for that. F) the manager was extremely rude he tried to blame the eyelash on me and my friend instead of taking responsibility like he should have and trying to make it right. Like I said I work in the service industry, and I know that the customer is always right (even if they're not, which I genuinely don't believe we were in the wrong.) They didn't wear name tags but it was the manager that worked on first shift on Thursday May the 30th. G) at the end of it all they didn't try to make it right in any way whatsoever. I spent $60 they gave us no discount no money back, not even a measly coupon to try and get us to come back. It's damn near close to the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant in all my 40 years. A friend recommended this place, and I was looking forward to going, but I was highly disappointed & will not be back. Not to mention nobody once came out to check on as while we were eating. Each of these things separately besides the eyelash I probably could have let slide. But all of them together and the eyelash and manager problems on top of it... Just plain ridiculous! For two people to go in and eat a $60 ticket, there should not be seven or eight issues that arise. We weren't even...
Read moreThe food at First Watch is always consistent across locations and lives up to its descriptions on the menu. I've never had a truly bad experience at a First Watch and I've been to all of them in Louisville and southern Indiana. We visited this one on 7/29 around 11:00 am...our server was Mackenzie AND she was OUTSTANDING! She was quick to provide us coffee and offer support if needed. She was nearby but didn't hover and quickly brought our food out. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine. The poached eggs were barely poached and very wobbly. As I feared, when I cut into them watery whites spilled across my plate in an unappetizing display. Mackenzie saw my dismay from across the distance and immediately checked on me and quickly whisked my plate away. Within minutes a new plate with properly poached eggs was placed in front of me. She waited to make sure it was to my liking. Mackenzie continued to keep her eye on our table to clear away debris and finished plates as soon as possible. When she brought our bill she noted the manager had comped my meal. I wasn't expecting that but was certainly appreciative of their response. Obviously the manager and staff understand what quality customer service and perfectly prepared food looks like. Well...
Read moreI had the pleasure of being served by Tyler during my recent visit to First Watch, and I must say, she was outstanding! From the moment we were seated, Tyler greeted us with a warm smile that instantly made us feel welcome. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, as she expertly guided us through the specials and offered excellent recommendations based on our tastes.
What truly stood out was her attentiveness; she checked in on us just the right amount, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. Tyler had a delightful way of making each guest feel special, personalizing our dining experience with engaging conversation while still being efficient.
Tyler’s service went beyond the norm. When I mentioned that I had a food allergy, she took the time to discuss safe options with the kitchen, which I greatly appreciated. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine care transformed a simple meal into a memorable dining experience.
If you’re lucky enough to be served by Tyler, consider yourself in for a treat. She epitomizes what outstanding customer service should be, and I can’t wait to return to First Watch, thanks to her...
