Gelato Gilberto nails it. I've vacationed and worked in Italy and fell in love with gelato on warm evenings. And when I bit into some of their strawberry gelato, it brought me back there, minus the insane Vespa drivers and kamikaze, no fear traffic rules! I've sent an e-mail to their Norton Commons location. When walking down Frankfort Avenue, I saw that the store was dark and the hours on the door were covered by a sheet of paper. I wanted to find out if they were closed for the season or, absolute worst case, closed for good.
*Update (January 10) - received an e-mail from Gelato Gilberto. The Frankfort Ave location is closed for the season, but will reopen on March 1.
*Second update: Met one of the owners and she was very friendly and welcoming. She said they are opening both locations on March 1 - Mardi Gras - and they will have special treats to welcome everyone back to their stores. For everyone in the Frankfort Ave corridor, check it out when...

It could use a lot of touch up painting and the landscaping needs help. The outdoor chairs and furniture could obviously use a cleaning. The other thing I don’t understand is why not let the single lone worker who’s there at night have a little music? It might help with the dead silence you encounter when walking in.
Also, we went last night and it looked like most of the gelato in the freezer was melting? Maybe a freezer issue? Seems like the owners set up shop and just kind of left...
