I AM FURIOUS. I wish I could give zero stars. We used to eat at Hoops quite a bit when we lived in Louisville, however we haven't been in quite sometime after moving to Indiana. We walked into the restaurant around 7 PM, and its Saturday, so we expected the place to be packed... surprisingly, it wasnt at all, and we soon found out why. We were a party of 5 and 3 of us ordered boneless wings. I'm not one to complain, but our boneless wings were SO overcooked my teeth still hurt from how hard they were, and I couldn't finish them. The other two in my party were hungry enough to finish them, so they didnt complain but I mentioned it to our very unenthusiastic server who just says "ok. hold on" and storms off. A few minutes later who I assume to be the manager comes by and asks what the problem was. As I'm explaining to him about my wings he snatches the basket off the table in the middle of my sentence and says 'ok I'll take it off'. Waitress (who should be embarrassed to be a waitress) comes back with the check. Clear as day it says "boneless wings (3 @ 9.25)". I missed the bottom of the receipt that had a discount of $6 listed, so when I mentioned that he said he was going to take my wings off, she interrupts me, points to the $6 discount and says "he did" then turns around and walks away. She never brought my boyfriend a refill, she had a snooty attitude the entire time and acted as though she had better things to do. So, I didn't tip her anything except the coin change we had left over. as we were leaving, she yells across the parking lot at us "FORTY CENTS ISN'T A TIP!". No. It isn't. We ALWAYS tip at least 20-25% and she would have known that if we would have been shown a little bit of courtesy. Never once did anyone apologize to me for serving me rocks covered in bbq sauce. Hoops has had some new paint put on the walls and rearranged the memorabilia since the last time I was there but everything else has gone downhill. As excited as I was to be back tonight I can assure you we will never walk in that...
Read moreWorst steak of my life. It comes frozen in a bag and is just reheated. Ordered it medium and one half was well done and the other was rare… not really what I meant by medium. The bartender was smug and full of himself trying to convince me that their steaks are always fresh but the three waitresses I asked all told me the steaks come frozen. I complained to the manager (maybe he was the owner) about the way the bartender treated me and the horrible steak I was served and he told me that I have to go there on Wednesdays when the truck drops everything off before they freeze it. Thats right, all of their food is frozen, nothing is fresh. The manager/owner found the tvs being on the right sports channel a more pressing issue than food or service. Since I couldn’t get through to anyone, I had to let out some steam and decided to try out the punching bag arcade game they had setup but the screen was broken and wasn’t displaying the scores. I was starving, and with limited options, I gave them another chance and ordered wings. Frozen, of course and nothing special. Maybe lesser quality Hooters wings. Some of the waitresses were pleasant but others had a lot of sass for no reason. I will never come back to this place. It all seemed poorly managed. I can’t believe the steak is labeled on the menu as their MVP meal, I wouldn’t feed...
Read moreHorrible. Self seating we sat down after five minutes was asked to move to smaller table by waitress. Did so reluctantly. Literally one minute later two people came in and sat down at the same table. Ordered drinks she went to their table got there drink order. Some time passes drinks come for both table's. Ok no biggie. Still little upset about being asked to move but no real biggie at this point.. Then 25 minutes later food comes out. Only the table we were asked to move from is served. Now if we all hadn't ordered wing's or we didn't have the same waitress that would be one thing but we all ordered wing's and it was the same waitress. Went to speak with the manager to let him know that we were leaving. Manager did try to make it right by offering us food for free. But that's not the point. I mean really what restaurant allows you to seat yourself, After You seat yourself then five minutes later they asked you to move. Because you're sitting at a sick stop and they might have more people come in that could fill the table. So they ask you to sit at a four-top. Never say anything to the other two that sit there. Well this isn't the only bad experience I've had there. Granite I've had good experiences there but I think this time took the cake. It'll be a long time...
