Yummi Yummi sushi restaurant — Restaurant in Louisville

We have been on a quest for the best sushi in the city. We’ve tried a few options and decided to try another new restaurant. Enter Yummi Yummi Sushi. Located off Southland Drive, where I expect a variety of ethnic restaurants anyway, this space does not disappoint.we can on a mid Monday afternoon, and we’re seated promptly. We had excellent service. We ordered a veggie tempura and then some sushi rolls. I got the veggie roll which contained asparagus, cucumber, pickled radish, topped with gorgeous avocado. We also ordered a deep fried crispy roll. It had a lovely combination of cream cheese, avocado, red snapper, shrimp, crab and eel sauce. It was flavorful and a nice twist on sushi. My first time patronizing this sushi restaurant. I love sushi and decided to give it a try based on Google reviews. The service was great; however, I feel that the prices are too high and the food wasn't very good. I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. The rolls did not hold together. The fried chicken pattie that came with the Chicken Katsu entree tasted like it was a frozen pattie and the rice was overcooked. The tuna in the spicy tuna roll looked weird. There are soooooo many other (better) sushi restaurants in Louisville with better prices and higher...

The only sushi place I know of in the whole south end. Everything I got was tasty, but wasn't at the level of several other sushi places in the city. One of the sushi rolls wasn't rolled well, and wouldn't hold together when picked up with chopsticks. No sashimi on the menu, unfortunately.

The staff was excellent and the food came out relatively quick. The women's bathroom was out of order, but otherwise everything was clean and in good shape.

I hope this place does well and stays open so I can try more of...
