Disappointing Service Experience

As someone who also works in the service industry as a server and host, I must say that the service here was very poor. I think I was just unlucky to have T.K. as our server. She didn't check in on us at all to ask if we were okay or needed anything else. She simply took our order, left, served the food, and then disappeared again. While the food came out quickly, one of our orders was forgotten and left sitting for quite a while. The service from other staff members who weren't assigned to our table was much better than the service from our actual server.

Furthermore, when it came time to pay, we had leftovers, but instead of offering us a to-go box, she just brought the check. When we put our card down, she took it without asking about the remaining food on our table. She didn't seem to have any desire to provide good customer service.

I was very impressed with all the food; it was delicious and great value for the price. However, it's a shame that the service was so bad. I saw other staff members check in on tables two or three times, asking if everything was okay or if they needed anything. In the end, we had to get a to-go box from the chef ourselves.

My friend highly recommended this restaurant, saying the food was excellent, so this was our first time trying it. I feel very disappointed, even though the food was good. As a fellow server, I believe there should be a standard for customer service. Honestly, I didn't even want to tip, but out of politeness, I felt obligated to.

Please improve your service. We don't want to have another bad...

The atmosphere in this restaurant seemed wonderful. Establishment was clean, inviting.. The man taking our order did a little huff and puff but I did not think it was directed at us, more of a... 'this isn't my job kind of thing'. I did not sweat that, understandable, lol. I. Love. Food. I love exploring new (to me) restaurants. This isn't something new I wanted to try though. I love chicken tonkotsu Ramen. It's one of my absolute favorite dishes, the crispy cook on the meat while juicy inside... the deep, flavorful broth... the bamboo shoots.. I love everything about the dish, slurping the broth and all, bowl left empty. This was by far the nastiest... nastiest Ramen I have ever been served. The chicken was fried soft no batter or anything...no crispness to it whatsoever, no bamboo shoots. The chicken was diced up and maybe just cooked in some butter and seasonings. None of the flavors were there and it honestly lacked more than anything. When I lived in Florida, Domu had some of the best Ramen. In Lexington, KY- Umé by far. I'm not sure if they thought I would not know this wasn't what I ordered (because I was American or who knows..) but it was absolutely one of the most disappointing things I've ordered since living in Louisville. I won't be returning. Photos...

After hearing great things about the ramen at Juno we decided to give it a try. The entire carryout process was a debacle. We ordered the spicy miso ramen with chicken. My husband comes home from picking it up and he said they had to remake our food because they made it with pork instead of chicken, and then we realized there was no broth in the bag. We drove back to pick up the broth. When we finally got home and were ready to eat we become aware we have the wrong broth, they gave us what looked like tonkatsu ramen broth because it was not spicy in the slightest. The chicken was flavorless and almost tasted past the expiration date. The soy sauce was expired. I can't say I'll ever be going back to Juno or recommending this establishment to anyone I know. The only reason I gave a 2 star instead of 1 is because they did give us a few free salads for not putting the broth in the bag...

Tried Juno Japanese Restaurant for lunch, our first visit. The restaurant has a high inspection rating - 98%. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. There is a bar - we did not have alcohol containing drinks. There's a Hibachi area that was busy. The hibachi tables seated 10 people. We sat in one of many booths in the sushi area. There were also seats at the sushi bar. We had: Squid salad Unagi Roll Tempura combo Double Dragon roll Spider Roll Green tea Juno D lunch combo - 6 Nigiri and 6 sashimi w/ green salad & ginger dressing. The sashimi and Nigiri pieces were very generous portions. Going home w/ a big bag of leftovers for later 😁 Everything was VERY good. Only notation was the rolls were rolled a little loose....no problemo, just used our fingers 😁
