My name is Geneva Manger. Before this commercial building became a successful store accommodating the Hispanic cultural population of Louisville, Ky. and everyone else “in the now very heavily business and Louisville famous attractions which is located on and around Preston Hwy “ was my favorite place in the world because it is my Grandfather’s legacy.
I was three when he purchased the small building and through the years built it into a small empire. I grew up playing hide and seek with my uncle when my grandfather was running NATIONAL SIDING out of what I consider it (as my family, The Bakers, The Cains ) THE LUCKY CORNER.
This is a wonderful establishment serving authentic Mexican cuisine,
(and in a nutshell you would not be exaggerating if to say)
“ The Kentucky Mexico “
Next year our buyer, Jose Avila will be paid in full and we will no longer own our building but never will the laughter of a little girl named Neva disappear. When the lights go out and the doors are locked muffled sounds of happiness and success will come to life.
If you not visited THE LUCKY CORNER then you have not visited the Frank Patrick Manger legacy and beginning of the success on Preston Hwy.
We experienced the best times on Preston and we lost my father to an accident on Preston and so I named my youngest son PRESTON FRANK to keep the name going on and on and with our best wishes for success in our store to all present and future occupants.

They have 2 other businesses connected to them one is inside shop that has desserts and a fresh fruit bar and connected to that is an actual Mexican grocery store, which I might say is big! They have so much to look at and a little gift shop in the back. I...
