Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Louisville

OVERVIEW:

-XL size is what a normal Large anywhere else would be -undercooked 100% of the time -imbalanced sauce/cheese ratio (causes cheese to fall off) -long wait times for delivery and carry-out -too many staff members standing around -poor customer service basics

Firstly, I will say this: the pizza is okay for a chain. It would be waaaay better pie if they would cook it longer. Every single time I have ordered pizza, and the pizzoli’s they are chewy and flimsy. Pizza should have structure to it, it should have char on the crust, and the cheese should not slide off when you take a bite. 3-5 more minute cook time would give these pizza’s a serious bump in quality. It has also taken over an hour for delivery every time I’ve ordered it. Waiting an hour would be no problem for me if the pizza was actually cooked thoroughly. It’s taking over an hour to receive a doughy, undercooked pizza.

Secondly, both times I have went in to pickup pizza there is a lack of customer service basics I.e.(saying hi to a customer, assuring the customer that you will be with them asap) I have been outright ignored when I’ve walked into this location. Since this location is pick-up only it is even more important to have clear and polite communication with customers… there is nowhere to stand other than right in front of the cash register, so standing there and staring at the staff is pretty damn awkward when nobody acknowledges you.

The other thing I noticed is there is about four people actually working and there are about ten people crammed into that small work area. (This could’ve been a training situation as they had only been open for a short time), but it’s not a good look to wait so long for a carry-out pizza with excess staff standing around. I have waited in the pickup area just as long as it has taken for a delivery to arrive...

Treated very rude and wrongful accused, so I order and large pizza well well done ,when I arrive it wasn't well done at all no problem 😊, I take back inside they put it back In the oven but I noticed it came right back very fast I didn't wanna say anything else at this point it my food and I try to treat ppl nice not only because its the right way but they are handling my food , so when I get home pizza isn't well done at all , I called basically he was nice I got credit a pizza ,2 weeks later I'm on dixie I say well ill retrieve my pizza ,nope !!! Mark or Matt the manager was so rude to me then went on to say when I was asking for my pizza that I was saying as if I was due multiple pizza ,I had him on speaker in the car w my mom we where shocked by this person's way of handling us mom hear the whole conversation I simply asked about my pizza he told me there's nothing he can do for me today , I couldn't believe what was happening here I ask for my single large replacement pizza it was like he kept over talking me I tried to remain calm thru it all (mom was with me ) but even she was applaud and confused as to what was happening , long story short this place will not get another penny from me ,and I will speak of this to the south end community when I am out and about, there is no room for ppl like this in customer service especially working in the south ppl are good here

Confused and...

I came up for the pumpkin spectacular with my family and our 12 year old wanted pizza and wings, we saw a commercial for Marcos Pepperoni Magnifico and we decided that’s what we were gonna order. I ordered online, and when I got there I had forgotten if I tipped or not and so I asked and the sweet man who was helping me apologized for my wait and told me just how short staffed they had been. Coming from the food industry I already understood the pain so I decided then the cash I had in my pocket was theirs. He said I did in fact too with my card but I still tossed the cash down and he thanked me and told me to drive safe. We got back to our hotel and cracked out pizza, mind you it was a twenty minute drive back, took a bite and I knew had I had forty in my pocket I would have dropped it on the counter. This pizza was amazing and the workers were giving it there all. Thank you guys so much for feeding my wife, son and I and making us PROUD to have spent our money with you and we recommend anyone in the area do the exact same when pizza and wings are the craving! They have much more on the menu and wish we didn’t live 6 hours away so we could try it all. If we wouldn’t have demolished it from hunger I would have given anything to have pictures to...
