On Sat 7/06/2024 at 1:08pm my friend and I placed a drive-thru order, both requesting extra ice in our drinks. Yes, it was printed on the receipt. When we get to the window I asked for a couple cups with ice. The employee at the window didn’t understand what I asked for. The issue is with the next employee that walks up to help. With a negative attitude he informs me they do not give extra ice. Their machines are preset to fill the cups with the amt of ice and coke I received. I did say, yes that they could have put extra ice in the cups. He proceeds to argue with me. I did receive one cup of ice, but the employee told me I wouldn’t get the 2nd cup because I had to pay $0.75. I told him no, I wouldn’t pay $0.75 for a small cup of ice. I did not argue with this employee, but asked what I needed to do to get the extra ice. Nothing, because they didn’t give extra ice. I have never been treated or talked to in such a manner as this employee did me. Later that night I told my husband about the McDonald’s issue. He drove us to the McDonald’s where I told my story to the manager on duty. I didn’t get his name but he was so kind and understanding. He told me to come back on Sunday to talk to the manager of all shifts. About 1:00 on Sunday my husband and I go back to McDonald’s to talk to Shawn, the manager. This manager is the same employee that was so hateful the day before. I introduced myself, he told me he knew who I was. I told him I was there because I was disappointed in his attitude and the way he handled the situation. This manager, Shawn, immediately became defensive, put both hands up, palms facing me, and started saying he wasn’t going there, he wasn’t going to allow me to push him into doing something he would regret. Once again, I was totally surprised by this person’s attitude and actions. I asked him what he was talking about. At that point I asked him what I could have done to get the extra ice w/o paying $0.75 for a sm cup. He just kept saying he wasn’t going there, etc. At that point I asked to speak to his supervisor. He kept saying he was the manager, the top guy there. I asked for the owners name and how I could reach him. I wrote down my name and phone number, using his phone he made a copy of my information along with my receipt. He was hesitant to give me the owners name and said he couldn’t give me his contact number. I was told the owners name is Matthew Dodd. I never heard from this Mr. Dodd. Either Shawn, the big top manager, never gave Mr Dodd the message, or Mr. Dodd doesn’t respect his...
Read moreI placed an order for a coke and my father handed the cashier at the first window his debit card. As we were going to the second window, he mentioned the total was $8 and some change. I told him it should have been a dollar and informed the cashier we were overcharged. The cashier looked perplexed but walked away and came back with the wrong amount of change. To prevent any escalation, I interjected and told the cashier that the dollar in her hand wasn't enough of a refund. She said that she needed to get a manager and asked me to pull forward. I declined to pull forward because I didn't want to wait all day. A gentleman came to the window, I was trying to explain to him again that all I purchased was a Coke and was charged $8. He went on to tell me that I ordered two McDoubles and fry and a Coke. I again corrected him and told him that I got a Coke. After several back and forth, he finally said oh the other people didn't tell me that. That's when I told him in a very Sparky tone, that's what I've been trying to tell you.
Hey again ask us to pull forward, I again told him no. He said he was going to call the police and put his head out the window yelling at the cars behind us to pull around because we wouldn't move. Please note that this interaction didn't last more than 7 minutes. The gentleman at the window called me the b word in front of my 8 year old son, he used the f word and appear to be on the phone with the police trying to find my license plate number.
While my behavior wasn't 100%, I don't think it came near the level or warranted the unprofessionalism displayed by the gentleman working. We all make mistakes and I'm understanding; however, call me the b word in front of my small child is completely inappropriate in any situation. I called corporate and anticipate a call back from the store manager. I'm a pretty reasonable person and have never experienced a drive-thru...
Read morePersonal order. Large Double Cheeseburger meal. Lunch drive thru online order. Fod and service at tis Eminence, KY McD's was excellent with one exception: fries weren't uniform. I used to manage a McDonald's, and the fries were"married". married meaning fresh fries and previously cooked and old fries that should have been thrown out were mixed together to make it seem as if it was a brand new out of the vat batch. FALSE: I know. Remedy should be announced as DO NOT DO THIS, or YOU WILL BE DISCIPLINED UP TO TERMINATION. This is a strict NO-NO because McDonald's fries.... well, they are MCDONALD'S french fries. corporate made a mistake when they switched the Three Arch method for salting, don't keep messing it up marrying fries because it's hard enough to keep them perfect without doing this. Just check who was on fries on the 12th of February around approximately noon. You'll find out who did it and hopefully it was not one of your shift management. To all others who read my reviews, this is a good McDonald's, so one imperfect issue doth not a snowstorm make . .FOUR Stars this visit. Fries are...
