Puerto Vallarta MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Louisville

I made the mistake of deviating from the tried and true entrees I’ve ordered in the past. The meal I received was bland, the chicken was chewy, and the enchilada sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce. I advised my RUDE AND UNATTENTIVE server of this who promptly removed the meal without attempting to remedy the problem. The next time I saw her, she was dropping off our check. I took the check to the register, just as we’d done every time in the past. When I mentioned to the cashier the meal wasn’t removed, she said she needed to get the manager. I said FINALLY and that would be best. The manager came and was immediately defensive and said he wasn’t removing the food first, before he asked what was wrong. Trying to remain on the issue of the food and not the poor customer service, I tried to explain to him that I tried something different and didn’t like it. He interrupted me and said, he’s never seen me before, and I ate the food. I said I ate less than 1/2 as there was a burrito and an enchilada and I picked through the enchilada before deciding I couldn’t stomach it any longer. I said had she tried, perhaps I would have ordered something else. He said I just didn’t want to pay for our food. Considering I’m one who will often tip the bill, pay for someone else’s tab, and have continued to support small businesses throughout the pandemic, I’m the last one who would skip out on bill!

I will say the customer service has definitely deteriorated over the past years and they’ll never receive my business again!! I encourage you to spend your money at another Highview restaurant as it will be better...

I have been goin here since the day they opened and actually the Environment is excellento plus the food is prefect but I find recently and not only here ….and I’m gonna say things just started to get better due to the pandemic and then inflation hits and I get it some of us it worked all the time I tired of working but The work seem to forget who always put money in their pockets and when you get the wrong food for carry out and you been going there for 18 years and all They say I’m sorry I’m too busy what you’re supposed to do things twice where you spend your money once home no plain chicken plain chicken taco no shells no lettuce and no cheese but chicken and get home and get 3 hard beef tacos …/sad thing is not the first time and I went back plus should I say left two different tip One $6 and the other $5 for a $16.78 bill cause if two different servers so heads up for people eating Mexican restaurant start with a $6 tip in mind and see how often the servers change plus reality the food thing is the margaritas welll some now days still...

Today 10/13/19 my wife and I went from having a good experience to having a terrifying experience. It's about 5.30pm, a man in a blue shirt, I guess maybe he was the manager proceed to set up about four tables and 10+ chairs in the middle of the restaurant area between the bar and the bathroom. We couldn't get out of our booth without asking one of the people seated there to get up and the same was the case for the people in the booth on the other side. People coming from the bar could not exit through that way, they had to go around. It was clearly a fire hazard. God forbid had there been a emergency. Our waiter could not even stand square in front of us;he had to stand to the side and anytime he or anyone else passed by us or the bothe on the other side their rear-end touched our table! This is a resturaunt where we were having an extended celebration of our wedding anniversary. Because of this, you ruined it. TACO BELL WOULDVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE. Very poor...
