So I went in to the one on Poplar Level by the hospital and the first thing I noticed was the store was hotter than all 7 levels of hell combined. The poor employees were all doing their best despite the fact it was well over 100 degrees in the store with nothing but a fan just blowing hot air around, apparently the A/C has been out for a couple of weeks at that point. The food was great and the staff were above and beyond great despite the horrible working conditions they have to endure, it would not surprise me if any of them have had a heat stroke working in those ungodly conditions. Keep in mind that I went in on a hot day but we have had MUCH hotter days recently and I started to sweat as soon as I walked in. Qdoba will not get another dime of my money and I will tell everyone I know to stay away until you start treating your employees better. No need to discuss this privately since we are not discussing employment related issues, all I am saying is you have a store that is ungodly hot inside to the point where there are multiple reviews that include it and it has been going on for a while now. I understand it will be expensive to fix and someone or some people may get a smaller bonus due to repairs...

Never in all my years have I seen something so disgusting in a restaurant. As I’m waiting to order the guy who’s about to serve me is walking towards me and eating out of a bowl and right as he engages with me he sets the bowl on top of the bagged tortillas at the beginning of the line. While chewing and some of the food from his mouth falls on the counter and the bagged tortillas. He then proceeds to “wash” his hands at the beginning of the line by sprinkling water on the tips of his fingers, then drying his hands off on his pants, which I’m sure are filthy . while he’s asking me what I want, I kid, you not, he actually spits some of the food into the rice and beans section shut this place down that was disgusting. That’s what I turned around and left. I never write reviews that is the most revolting thing I’ve ever seen in a restaurant I’d rather see a rat on the floor than what I just witnessed. DISGUSTING. Happened at roughly 9:05p january 5th, 2023. I bet you can watch it on camera if...

Disgustingly Filthy Place. I threw my food away in fear of getting sick from unsanitary conditions. This place should be shut down for a month long deep cleaning. As I walked out I looked around, floor looked like it had never been swept or mopped, trash cans had food residue slung all over the outside, tables were dirty, counters looked as though never wiped down. The food prep area also had slime and residue build up. With the filth I saw, there has to be critters leaking. I don’t understand how this place could even be open. The Health Department should give this place a 0 rating and shut it down!! Please just do something about it. Apologies don’t matter if you are not going to fix the issues. I see other reviews about the unsanitary condition at this restaurant and it’s been ongoing. How can you serve food to consumers with such grossly inadequate...

Update (7-9-23) I've up'd to 3 star(from 2) overall. They need proper training. The rice this time had same ludicrous amount of line, but 0 cilantro. Only reason its up 1 star, everything was hot this time. All the utensils and Napkin holders were filled among other items. (Original review 7-1-23) Staff seemed nice. Food was meh, 'sour' . Like they used 4 times the amount of limes they should've in the white rice. 🙄. The steak was luke warm (bought it about 10 minutes after they opened). Rice, black/pino were not hot, just warm. Hopefully it was just bc it was close to open, but still should be hot 🤷. Several mwtal napkin boxes, but only 1 had napkins. 1st time at this location, I'd recommend driving a few minutes down the street 4th and W. Cardinal much better, based on what I've had today.

Trying Qdoba for the first time tonight and comparing it to Chipotle. Qdoba certainly is MUCH more generous with their portions with the pricing about the same, and I got the same chicken & rice bowl, with the same ingredients. The only criticism is that Qdoba did NOT taste as fresh and good as Chipotle. And some of the ingredients added a sogginess to the whole bowl that I didn't have to deal with at Chipotle. So, comparing them, even though I got more food for my money at Qdoba, it's more about taste so I will stick with Chipotle. Also considering that the service was worse at Qdoba (as it always is even when picking up Doordash orders), that is another reason I will stick with Chipotle because their employees generally are always much more cheerful!

Horrible experience with mediocre food. More than an hour before being closed, the workers had already shut everything off and were inside doing nothing. When we asked if they were closed, we were told “no, we’re open.” But when we ordered a burrito, half the ingredients were gone. The other half were old and tasted very off. There were whole cilantro leaves buried in the burrito. Plus the cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling as well. As we walked out we witnessed a family of 7 be turned away. Do not recommend this Qdoba and will be making sure I avoid it at all costs.
