Tonight I attempted to take eat at this place, after my special needs kid had been in the hospital all day, and we were starving! We were at the drive thru, and my very indecisive son kept wanting to modify his meal. The girl that was taking my order kept huffing and puffing and trying to rush me through getting louder and louder with each āis that itā even though I was not done ordering everyoneās food. When I was done, I told her that was it, and she said very aggressively āpull aroundā I was on the phone with my husband, speaking to him, not her, as I was leaving the drive through and I said āthis woman has a bad ass attitude, not sure I want to eat here.ā Well I guess she heard me and I was still driving around but could hear her over the intercom saying since you want to have a bad attitude, I donāt have to serve you. Not one bit of attitude did I have towards this girl! And as I was driving up I could still see her bobbing her head and talking into her head piece. When I got to the window she continued to be very rude and said do you want your food or not, (I never said anything about not wanting my food) I said I need to see your manager please, and she said I am the manager for the night, I said ok thatās fine, whatās your name, she told me itās none of my business, and donāt worry about it, do I want my food or not. I said absolutely not, and I drove off. I have never had a problem at this location before tonight. I think this girl needs to learn a little bit of customer service before she is even allowed at the window, let alone being a āmanagerā this was August 21st around 830-9pm. I will be calling the manager in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI genuinely wish that I could give this place 0 stars. They're the antithesis of quality fast food yet I continue to give them my money so I suppose that I should take part of the blame for my continued dissatisfaction with the Dairy Queen on Poplar Level.
I have never written a bad review before in my life. I really don't have the time nor energy for it and it takes a lot for me to get upset about things in food service because I've worked in fast food and fine dining (haven't most of us?)
Anyhow... I've never had a positive experience at this Dairy Queen but it's 5 minutes from my house and it's one of the few places with cheese curds. On a few occasions I have ordered curds and gotten little bits of hot batter with ice cold cheese in the center. I never complained because I knew I could just put in the microwave and I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. After the third time it happened I decided I should probably say something because if there's one important aspect of fast food, it's that the food should be cooked. I was told that the someone set the fryer wrong(?). But even the the strange happenings of half cookery weren't enough for me to get the itch to leave a bad review...no...it was the fact that today, I foolishly decided to go back.
Not only were they out of the monthly blizzard but they were out of cheese curds too and they were seemingly unapologetic about it. Maybe it's my previous experiences with their painfully slow service, partially cooked foods or some of the cashiers who can't be bothered but today marked my last day dealing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLong post - Sorry... I ordered my food online and wasn't notified that they were out of chicken strips until I arrived to pick up, I inquired about a refund, that seemed to be asking a lot so when I asked what was being offered in it's place, I ordered a $7.00 meal deal, the girl was clueless, not what I wanted to eat but I asked about getting the other $7.00 burger meal deal with bacon added and she said it didn't come with bacon and they didn't have bacon, I asked do they have the Bacon Two Cheese Stack burger and she said yes, so I said can't you use the bacon for that burger and put it on this burger and I'll pay the add-on cost for it...It literally took her about 3 minutes to comprehend the idea and finally said yes.
Obviously they had bacon afterall! Maybe she didn't think I'd look at the menu to see what else I could get and see the bacon burger, maybe she didn't know they sold a bacon two cheese burger...
I'd like to say she's new there, but she's been there a while...
Train your employees people!
Yes, I was a bit irritated, someone could have notified me before I got there, why ask for my phone number if you aren't going to use it.
You might think an hour lunch break at work is a lot of time, but not after you drive to and wait to pick up and drive back, don't add on any mix-ups or, sorry but we're out of what you ordered... Whatever, more than likely I'll go back, but I'll probably call first to make sure they aren't out of what I...
