So I have had issues with this store so often. I always think maybe it’ll be different the next time and maybe I caught some workers on a bad day. But this is my limit. I’ve been sick and I thought maybe I’d enjoy some Panera with my family so I bought my whole family food. But when I called, the manager had the worst possible attitude with me and that was not the first time she had caught some sass with me. And I was patient and I thought maybe I’ll just wait and see how the food turns out (I called so that I could update my order and the special instructions because I had forgotten to. That’s my fault. She was not happy that I called and I felt so disrespected all because I asked that I slightly change one small thing about my order that would take no more than five seconds of their time) and then she hung up on me and proceeded to do exactly what I asked her not to do. ON PURPOSE!! I asked for light sauce, my food is drenched in sauce, I asked for my lettuce to not be cooked. It was cooked and soggy at the same time? I got rock solid avocado. And the kicker? I didn’t get chicken on my sand-which. They replaced my chicken with extra cheese. Did they think I wasn’t going to notice that my sandwich that literally has chicken in the name wasn’t going to have chicken On it, and it was just cheese? Plus the soggy tomatoes to top it all off. My mom’s food was also soggy, but the Food that turned out the best that still wasn’t even that great was the food that didn’t have any modifications on it. It’s like they’re spiting people Who put modifications on their food. I don’t have photos of everyone else’s food because they ate it anyways, but I’ve been feeling sick and wanted to enjoy food and this would upset my stomach even more than it already is. Best believe I have called headquarters, got a refund and gave the location and the exact details of my past experience and the things that transpired with my order today. Never been so disgusted by the behavior of a store. And believe me, I’m the type that if my order got messed up even by accident I’ll usually eat it anyways because I feel bad sending things back. But this has happened way too many times and I’m not gonna spend $100 on crappy food that I can’t even eat and not get my money back. No thank you. GO TO THE PANERA IN MIDDLETOWN!!!!! I promise you there are so many better stores than this, do not take my experience and judge all of Panera. There’s always one bad...
Read moreI came here for a lunch when I needed it the most. I am sick, and had just run out of food at home. So, with a single objective in mind, I sought Panera for their most wholesome menu item: I needed the wild rice chicken soup. Sadly, I didn't get this soup, and received wild rice lies instead.
I ordered through the drive thru. When ordering, I saw wild rice chicken soup was not listed on the menu. Concerned for my mission, I asked the gentleman taking my order if it was available. He said yes! So I proceeded to order, and even got a 2 for one in case my stomach could handle the extra sandwich, and he rung me up. Upon payment, he did not repeat my order, but I didn't care. All I could think about in that moment was the wild rice soup.
He then handed me a broccoli cheddar. At this, I knew I had to clarify, "I'm sorry, I asked for wild rice at the speaker. Do you all have it?" The employee said they were out of stock. I was devastated, as I did not get what I believed I had paid for, and I wouldn't have ordered at all if they didn't have the soup.
Admittedly, I've gotten emotional over this. I wanted the wrong to be righted, and for others seeking the wild rice to not be mislead if this employee made the same mistake. I wanted a sign on the menu that said clearly there was no wild rice soup to be found here. So, after returning home, I called the store manager. When I explained the situation, he said they did have the soup in stock. This only added to my negative emotions, as it wasn't a simple mistake the drive through employee made, I was also lied to. Thankfully, the manager did offer to swap out my soup, but I had already returned home 20 mins away, and it was not worth the ache while being sick to drive back out.
I understand how difficult the lunch rush can be, and I have had many pleasant meals at this location before, but I was extremely let down by this encounter. I don't understand why the drive through employee lied about having the soup in stock. If he had been honest, I would have simply gone inside then to swap my order, as I did not want to hold him or the drive thru line up. I appreciate the gesture of the manager, and understand that this was likely a simple mistake, but my trust has been broken.
I will not be returning to...
Read moreWe are all obligated to order at a fast food place now and seat in our cars while the food is being made. When they come out with your order after being charged $31.00 for a full sandwich, two half sandwich and 2 coffee, you don't get the chance look at your order before the person walks away and go back in. I got home to feed my boys and the reason we ordered the food that way is because normally a half sandwich will fill you up and my full sandwich will feed me and my husband. Not this time dear, my boys half sandwich were half of the size of my palm with that being said it was a half of a half sandwich and my full order of the turkey bacon bravo was what you call a half side cut in 2s.. the reason of me ordering out was because I was getting off running a shift and didn't have the strength of cooking dinner after getting home so that was very insulting and with the economy the way it is i see it as taking advantage of the situation. I love Panera Bread and I don't mind spending a little more because i know I'm getting a healthier meal than any other places but this was insulting and I hope nobody else have had to go half of what they ordered and staying hungry after thinking that they were getting the right amount of the meal. I have photos and wish I could post them .guys you all have jobs inside that kitchen, think about the millions of others who doesn't and go in to get at least a meal because for whatever reason they don't feel like cooking at home.. my case, getting of a long shift working in a hospital and wanting to get home and enjoy a meal with my family 👪 without wasting that little time making a meal...
