Is this the best Ramen in Louisville? šŸ‘€šŸ¤« I’ve known about @ramenhouselouisville for a long time but somehow hadn’t been???? Welp. My life has now changed for the better. I almost didn’t want to post this because I’m sure the die hard regulars won’t want the secret out but this place is just too good to not talk about. 🤤 Great food and super reasonable prices especially since the bulgogi bowls can easily be 2 meals. We got: - Spicy Pork Bulgogi Buns: $8.50 for 2 buns - Spicy Bulgogi Buns: $8.50 for 2 buns - Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bowl: $12.50 šŸ¤ÆšŸ”„ - Spicy Tonkotso Ramen Bowl: $15 #ramenhouselouisville #ramenhouse #ramen #louisvillefoodies #LouisvilleLove #ExploreLouisville #LouisvilleLife #LouisvilleEats #louisvilleky #comewithme #LouisvilleEats #do502 #louisville #louisvillekentucky #louisvillefood #louisvillelocal #louisvillerestaurants #gotolouisville #everythinglouisville #fyp #trending #hiddengems #ramennoodles

If you aren't from Louisville just Google Baxter Theater to get there. It's connected to the theater. Don't take Bardstown Rd. because you'll have to walk through the mall to get to the restaurant and you might get confused. I've gotten the shoyu ramen both spicy (served in a red bowl) and plain (served in a black bowl) both times I've been. It's delicious. The ramen is a bit pricey. Though I'm comparing the price point to the ramen I've had in Japan. This spot is a wonderful hangout spot. They have a sign up that says 'Lets get drunk and eat noodles' and the atmosphere and design lends itself to that mantra. The staff are about as friendly as you can be. And the food once again is really solid. I would recommend this place to anybody especially college students. They would love the anime themes and the Japanese beverages. I would be remiss to not mention how they operate during the pandemic. There is only one entrance and exit. You have to wait for your full party to arrive before you can sit down. You have to know what you want before you walk up unless you're brand new and have questions. They will help if you have questions. The menu thankfully is posted outside of the main entrance. Their recommendation for newcomers (which is what they recommended to me and my wife) was the shoyu ramen. It's really good, once again. You can get either get chicken or pork added to it. And you can change the broth for either chicken, pork, or vegetable. They have vegetarian options but I'm not sure if they have vegan ones. Check them out! ⭐⭐⭐

My first time here. I visit Louisville usually once a year. I'm surprised I haven't been here before. There was a line with a decent wait pretty early on a Tuesday, and the line was even longer when I left. Be prepared to wait. The wait is inside though. The spicy bulgogi buns were great. I could have had a little more spice, but the flavor was great. I liked that they crisp the outside of the soft buns to give them some texture. The buns were also slimmer than others I've had, which helped with the balance of bun to filling. I got the spicy miso tonkotsu ramen, extra spicy, with cha shu pork ordered extra crispy. It was perfect on a very cold night. It was definitely spicy, and also full of flavor. The broth had slight thickness to it. Not watery. The only slight bummer for me was being stuck on the end of the bar table facing the very cold window. It made sense since I was alone, so it was nice that the broth was hot and spicy. I definitely recommend it. Hopefully I can come back in the future and try more of the menu.

This is a long one so get ready. Honestly this place is the best I’ve ever had. For some reason one of the servers has serious beef with me. The first million times I’ve came in , sitting by the door when meeting my partner (who does not eat a thing at ramen house) has never been an issue. I came in one day with my son as I always do and I requested to sit 1) where my partner could see me and 2) letting him know he will be by to pick up my son. He told me (literally like a robot) that I had to wait outside for my full party to be there . Which I responded multiple times, my partner is here to pick my son up , not to eat or to sit. Just request to sit by the door . He repeated that it was their policy . I said ā€œeven if he’s not eating??.. he responded yes) It got to the point where I just said whatever he’s not coming. My partner came in anyway to get our son and my server didn’t seem to have an issue (cute punk girl with the basass eyeliner , if you know you know) . I’ve done this before with her as well and she has never had an issue and that only if he’s eating and staying would it be an issue.

Next occasion he remembers me and I come in alone with my son . No issue but he was being very dry and passive aggressive. (He seems like he’s the sweetest server but he’s super passive aggressive with me in particular.) Didn’t check on me the whole time I ate. He’s served me before and never had an issue, what’s crazy is he doesn’t remember all of the other times I’ve came in . Only the previous interaction.

The 3rd time (the last time I came in) I had a friend who I only see every 5 years come from out of the country and I was determined for him to eat ramen house before he went back to Japan. (He has a huge following on social media as well so we were going to make it a whole thing) We go and we’re standing inside the door , it was freeeeezing. Someone came over and kindly asked us to step outside (in the mall area) which we had no issue doing. She apologized bc it was so cold but they she will hurry quick to get to us) We’re standing in line as we are the only people waiting (which was fine) I’m watching the delicious bowls of ramen go by and I see the super nice but super passive aggressive server who hates me, STARE at me every single time he walked by. To the point my friend was like ā€œhe is giving you the death stareā€ . He walked by again and I asked if I could help him and why he was staring at me. He decided to tell me I was blocking the entrance . So I moved back where I wasn’t . A few moments go by as my friend and I are conversating over the ramen challenge . The server comes over and says ā€œI have already asked you to move back and you keep staring into the door rushing usā€ My friend and I were taken back like… what? We moved and I’m watching the bowls of ramen go by? How am I rushing anyone? lol he then began to tell me that I’m acting out of hand . My friend and I were SO confused. My friend was like ā€œsir you literally just came over here to nit pick , you asked us to move, we did, and now you’re saying we’re rushing you bc we’re watching the food. Why are you even coming over here, you should go back to your tablesā€ he said I was making crazy faces (which honey I have Botox I can’t even move my face) he began to tell me that they have a right not to serve us.

We were seriously so confused and taken back . I didn’t even eat because I was afraid they were going to spit in my food. I’m glad he ate it tho. Just wish the server would mind his business instead of trying to start something every time I go in there . I also am a food enthusiast with many followers. I am not going to post on my recent experiences (bc punishing a whole establishment over one disgruntled employee is kinda wack), but at the end of the day you never know who you’re serving and should probably just be nice in general. It was embarrassing and it’s all because I wanted to sit by the door so my partner could grab my son and go.

It’s been horrible service because of this server and it’s literally my...

I have been to this place about 10 times now. Anyone who is curious about this place after hearing some hype about it like I did, I have a list of pros and cons about this place that you may find helpful. Food Pro: Not gourmet, but the conservative boomers of Louisville don't know what they're talking about when they say that the food is equally as good when made at home. I highly recommend getting the "Hell Ramen" on their menu. Food Cons: The bad things about the food is that depending on who you are, some of the dishes may not be spicy enough for your liking, as well as the Bibimbap is mediocre, according to a friend I went with one time. But more significantly, this place is quite pricey. First time I went, 2 bowls of basic Miso Ramen = $50. Service Pro: At all the times I went to this place, there was not a single thing wrong with the service. They're never rude, and a few of the times, the waitresses were polite and quite conversational. (no service: cons). Atmosphere Pro: The place is very cozy, and rather vibrant with nice music, and simple decor of Japanese artwork. (not as much as a bar, though they do serve alcohol). The moment you walk in and smell boiling broth coming from the kitchen, you already know you are about to receive exactly what you initially expected: Simply a pleasant experience of enjoying Ramen and delicious Asian cuisine. Atmosphere Cons: In my opinion, the biggest issue with this restaurant is it's small size, put together with them having no reservations. Meaning you'd have to get there literally the exact minute they open (around 5:00 PM) to avoid waiting in a long, slow-moving queue. Similar to any restaurant in Japan. However, they do have ample parking. Overall, I'm sure there are some better places, possibly even within Louisville, that are better than this place, but it's not bad at all. Would 100% continue to visit this place, would 100% recommend others to visit this place. P.S: PLEASE don't report this review for hate speech @: "the conservative boomers of Louisville don't know what they're...
