Took a ride out to Red Hot roasters because I was tired of the subpar coffee I was getting from nearby coffee shops in st Matthews, both local and commercial. Walked up to the drive-thru and ordered a couple of what ended up being perfectly balanced lattes. Not too sweet not too overwhelmingly coffee-y. Really rich taste, not that burnt coffee taste that I've been getting from a lot of places lately. One wonderful woman was singlehandedly running the show when I got there. She was polite, she was quick, and overall an awesome experience. You can tell they're a unique, local shop. And I want them to take all of my money. Can't wait to go back and try the burritos for breakfast because they sound delicious. I got an iced Mexican mocha, a Drunken Pumpkin, and a Cinnamon Bun latte - all exceptionally better than any other lattes I've tried around town lately. Will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I decided to swing by this morning to try for the first time. We used the drive thru window and if there's more than 3-4 cars, it would be a little tight on space. He ordered a small iced amaretto latte and I got a large lucky charms latte. We spent a little under $12 between the 2 beverages. Mine didn't necessarily taste like Lucky Charms but was delicious regardless. His choice made me envious because of how good it was. The woman who took our order also made our drinks and upon payment she didn't disclose how much would be charged to my card prior to running it so some might be discouraged by that. She was very friendly and had a great attitude. Unfortunately, this location is out of our way so we won't frequent it often and we also wanted to go around 8am but they didn't open until 9.

Edit: added a picture to show their response. This is how they treat their customers instead of making things right. "Never come back." Very respectable business. Not sure where all the positive reviews came from. Honestly the worst coffee my boyfriend and I have ever had. Tasted like slightly sweetened sink water with rotten almond milk. Also ordered a breakfast burrito that came out almost still frozen, and was way too small and gross for $7. The potatoes inside were black from how old the burrito was.

I went a couple different times and tried a couple different drinks, one a blended frozen drink and one an iced espresso drink. Having been a barista for several years, I know my way around coffee drinks, and these just really were not good. One was mediocre and one was just downright awful. I really wanted to love this little place, but I just can't.

I will say that I didn't try the drip coffee as I'm usually interested in something more fun, so it's possible that they have really good drip coffee. I...
