This was my 1st experience at this restaurant. As I walked up, I did notice that it had a ramp that you can use to get inside of the store. I believe it was another option to be able to walk up steps as well on the other side. So I am guessing that the ramp was for handicap accessibility. Although I hate to say this, but the front door of the restaurant was kind of hard to open. It had a lot of resistance pulling/pushing on it. And I think for a older, or younger (smaller child) person it might give them some difficulties using. Or maybe I'm just a weakling. 🙈🤷‍♂️ I walked in the store. I looked over the menu, and placed my order. The staff was very friendly. I did order for dine-in. The restaurant for the most part was very clean. It had a very small, but yet intimate dining area. It also had a few televisions in there to watch. Only one of them was on. I'm also sure that music was playing as well on a radio. (Inside and out) I fixed my drink (pink lemonade fountain drink), and walked outside to a table that I wanted to sit at. I proceeded to wait for the server to bring out my meal, and it was really quick. I would say around 5 to 7 minutes if I had to guess. The food was really fresh! And it also seemed that everyone else there was also enjoying their meals as well. I seen a lot of good looking things on other costumers plates. I wanted to try everything. 🐷🙈😅 They had a nice comfortable crowd. And as I was sitting there more, and more, people seem to be showing up. That also made me have more good thoughts about this place. It was a lot of people walking up-and-down Bardstown road. A lot of things seemed to be going on. I take that as a good thing if you are looking for other things to do in the area. There is also a movie theater not too far from the place. Overall the food was really good! The Shrimp Burrito was so big, I could not eat at all. It seems to be enough for about 2 people to share. The chips & queso was also good. I had plenty to take home. One of my only few complaints was, there were no napkins on all of the tables outside. I am glad I grab some on the inside before I walked outside. It was pretty hot outside, so I am glad that their tables had umberellas over them to block the sun. And the bugs was not that bad. You might have difficulties at times finding a place to park. I parked my vehicle around the corner. It was not extremely far. But it was a nice walk that would not be good for a handicap♿, pregnant🤰, or elderly 👨‍🦳person. And a lazy one, like myself.😴🤷‍♂️ That's just something to keep in mind. TACO CITY, GOOD JOB! 👍I will...

A Most Pleasing Culinary Experience in the Heart of Louisville

Rating: (5/5)

I find myself transported across centuries of culinary evolution to a delightful establishment named Taco City in the bustling city of Louisville. The span of time separating my humbled chicken fried beginnings from the present meal has not diminished my capacity to appreciate a sumptuous meal, and I am moved to express my sentiments in the most glowing terms.

From the moment I ventured into the warm embrace of Taco City, I was greeted with a vibrant, yet comforting ambiance. The staff, a cadre of well-informed and hospitable individuals, guided me towards a meal that I can only describe as a revelation - the Wet Burrito.

This dish, a masterful assembly of ingredients wrapped in a soft tortilla and generously doused with sauce, was a testament to the artistry and passion of the kitchen. The balance of textures and flavors was more harmonious than the symphony of a well-tuned orchestra. The filling was hearty and satisfying, the tortilla fresh and pliable, and the wet sauce—a delectable concoction that elevated the humble burrito to heights I scarcely believed possible.

The Queso, a creamy and rich cheese dip, was a delight in its own right. It was a testament to the mastery of the kitchen, a symphony of creamy, tangy, and savory notes that left me yearning for more. It was a harmonious accompaniment to the main dish, enhancing each bite with its unassuming yet irresistible charm.

The pièce de résistance, however, was the Jalapeño sauce. It was no mere condiment, but a culinary masterpiece that sang a fiery serenade to my taste buds. It was a symphony of spice and flavor, the likes of which I have never encountered in my time. It was not simply hot, but complex and layered, adding a depth to the meal that left me in awe of the culinary prowess of the creators.

In summary, my visit to Taco City was an enlightening and delightful experience that I would recommend to anyone in search of an exceptional meal. It is a beacon of culinary excellence in the heart of Louisville, a city that has warmly welcomed and accommodated this humble late 1900's working man. I salute the skill and dedication of the people behind Taco City and eagerly look forward to my next visit.

Yours, with the highest...

I love tacos I really do normally I'll just roll em up n make my own but on days like last Tuesday driven to get authentic Mexican food was the alternative we keep giving Taco City chance after chance but every time we go there to enjoy their food something is always wrong with our order the food is good great evening but there's always something wrong with our order my fiance like to order burritos the California Burrito but she cannot enjoy it ever because every time she orders it it turns out spicy even when we spend a extra 10 minutes holding up the line explaining to the person taking our order that she cannot have anything spicy due to a stomach surgery that she had a while back and just flat-out she doesn't like spicy food the guy taking our order always ensures us that it will not be spicy but every single time and I mean every single time the burrito it's so spicy it brings her to tears very upsetting given the fact that I love Taco City I ordered the same thing every time number 12 fajita tacos I'm sure they have other food that is good but that's just what I like they either forget to put something in the bag over or under cook my steak for my tacos and this is every time the manager Alex is a very nice person but I believe that his employees are lazy and I always get our order wrong I would love to give them five stars because they have potential but this has been going on for over a year now and I still go back thinking it will be different this time I love Taco City then there it goes again they mess up the reason for the Spice this time was they put black pepper spices on the steak when they cook it that should have been explained given the fact on average we spend around fifty bucks each time we go the only reason why I gave them two stars and not one it's because all right last time there they have to order wrong but I'd only that the corn was delicious so that's the only reason why they got two stars instead of one on this long-overdue rating big...

honestly, i wish it had been a better experience. my sister wanted us to go down the street but i thought this was the place she wanted to go to. On the tV screen they show items they aren’t serving. I Order Horchata which was super thick mix and grainy just not good and chicken street tacos which was on the TV and street corn. my sister order beef tacos with beef and lettuce only and a chicken taco one soft one hard. I ask to change my drink and the big guy behind the counter was very annoyed and looking at his phone the entire time, i had to get a starry drink not other options available and we know fountain drinks aren’t that hot. i was nervous by thus time the food was overpriced at 30 and she was treating me we was celebrating. So then the food comes out sister has tomatoes all over her food and my chicken tacos were not what i ask for but what they serve on that day as the waiter told me. My start corn didn’t come and when i ask the Cashier said it would be coming. I said, i order what’s on the screen he said thats only on tuesday. No offer to remedy the situation. The guy who took my order who was on his phone said nothing. Totally disappointed. My sister has to send her food back because of the tomatoes and by the time she got her food and i ate mine quietly ( which was wrong) they still hadn’t brought my food out. finally my corn was brought out i was fool and it was the only thing good. She wasn’t impressed nor was I. The street flavor was grilled chicken 😭 not at all what we wanted but we didn’t want anymore glares so we just left it alone
