Okay guys, I really hate to do this but I have to. Prepare for a long rant.
Kashmir was one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville and my go to comfort food. BUT.
Today I ordered Kashmir on Postmates, Chicken Tikka Masala. It gets to my house and I start eating it and I bite into something hard. I look at what I just bit into and it is RAW CHICKEN.
So I call the restaurant and they sound surprised and ask me what I would like to do about it. I said all I want is a new order because I'm nervous about the rest of my previous order for seemingly obvious reasons. They accept.
I drive to pick up my delivery order that I was NOT EVEN OFFERED TO BE REFUNDED FOR, but that's fine, I'm hungry. When I get there the man at the counter barely looks at me and points to a bag on the table and tells me that's mine and then proceeds to tell me that I am lying and that it is not possible that this happened, insinuating I am making the whole thing up.
So, fine. I take the bag and ignore his comments. The bag is just chicken, not the whole order with rice. I ask if I could have rice with the chicken because I put the chicken on top of the rice I previously had.
HE TELLS ME NO, and that he doesn't believe me in the first place and that I have to pay if I want rice also.
YOU GUYS. I have been in that restaurant 10000 times, I am probably single handedly keeping Kashmir afloat with the amount I eat there. I have concerned friends to back this up. My point is, they have to know I'm a regular customer?!
So I left the chicken there, walked out, and am now not only super disappointed that I have to cross this off my list of amazing Louisville restaurants but also regretting that I feel the need to warn other people because that guy obviously DOES NOT CARE about health codes/food safety.
I am planning to report this to the health department tomorrow.
Anybody know of another good...
Read moreWent to lunch at Kashmiri on Bardstown Rd. Was reminded 2x at the door that they were closing in 40mins or so. I asked if there was time to still get food and the man at the door said sure. Food got to us fast but I found two small bones in my chicken as well hard pieces in mine and my friend's chicken (maybe cartilage or something). Our check was never brought to us, had to ask for it. On the menu the meal was priced $9.50 and the nan was $2.75 yet somehow my check ended up being $17.50!! I though maybe he combined mine and my friend meal because we got the same thing but nope! My friend's ticket was also $17.50. Was there an included tip?? $5.25 included tip?! Even if I had tipped 20% on the $17.50, it would only be $3.50! The service was okay at best, felt like a bother in the resturant. So basically we paid $35 for very poor quality chicken that we couldn't eat and a cold breeze from a hole in the window frame which was also had a plywood board on it. Don't waste your money to eat in a restuarant with boarded windows and cold breezes coming through the wall to get inedible chicken/bones! Only came here to try something new and I'll never be back. Almost turned around when I saw the runned down outside but went against my better judgement and ate there anyways. I'm literally so mad I had to pay that outrageous price! The guy who checked us out was also the one who kept mentioning that when they were closing. He made us feel unwelcomed and I felt uncomfortable while checking out. We never got a receipt stating the reason for the excessive charge either! I can't emphasize how bad of an experience this was, I'm appalled! I want to go back in and demand a refund or something but they made sure to lock the door as soon as we...
Read moreListen when I say this, RUN from this place. I'm not sure if it was the owner or not, but he obviously didn't like the fact that my Indian fiancé was engaged to a white girl. He blatantly treated us differently from his other customers. He was rude and seemed annoyed with us. We love going out for indian food. But let me just say, my fiancé ordered mutton curry, and I ordered Tikka masala. It's clear their target audience isn't the Indian population due to trying to trick people into thinking what they are eating is authentic. The so-called mutton curry was literally in the same gravy as the tikka masala. Anyone who eats Indian food on a regular basis will know that is not how mutton curry is made. It's almost a disgrace to the Indian community to even call the bland food we received Indian food. If you want amazing and authentic check out Tandoori Fusion, the food is amazing as is the service. They've also never treated my fiancé and I with such disrespect. We as an interracial couple are used to stares, but this man was determined to make sure we never came back into his knock off Indian food establishment. I don't normally like to use racism in a review, but he doesn't deserve the business from people if he can't treat his customers with respect. We are generally easy going at restaurants, I always say please and thank you with a smile. I tried with him, but this place left me feeling like a terrible person for loving who I love....
