Waffle House — Restaurant in Louisville

I've been eating at Waffle House for decades and it's usually pretty consistent and you know what you're going to get. This however was the worst experience I've ever had at a Waffle House.

There was just one cook and a server and clearly no manager so you could tell the attitude was that they were going to goof off and do whatever they wanted to.

The cook was constantly loud and talking and carrying on and singing along to his music way too loudly and clearly disturbing the customers.

The server came to our table and bragged that she was very good and made good money..she wasn't very good though and messed up two of our three orders. Some of us got the wrong toast and some of us got the wrong eggs. And she didn't bring us some things we asked for.

The server never came to check on us again. She was too busy playing on her phone and goofing off with the cook.

We mentioned to the cook on the way out that we got wrong things and he said he prepared what he was told to prepare. So even though the waitress wrote down our orders, she either told the cook wrong or he did it wrong. Who knows. Either way we didn't get what we ordered. The cook did offer to remake the eggs as we were leaving, but by then we just wanted to leave. The server was standing right there listening to us tell the cook about the wrong orders but she didn't seem to care about it. She was too busy playing with her phone again. (In hindsight, her poor service didn't deserve the good tip we left.)

They really need to get a manager in there to keep the workers on their toes and to provide good service and the...

Server was amazing the female cook on the other hand was rude. She had an awful attitude and was speaking to us in a foul manner all the problem was that she did not know how to scramble eggs. We asked if the over cooked fried eggs she made us could be made into fluffy scrambled eggs like we ordered. We could hear her talking about us in a very disrespectful manner. When we confronted her about her attitude she rolled her eyes and walked into the back all the while mouthing off to us. When I spoke to a member of management I was told the nothing would be done to this nightmare of a cook because she was related to the head of managment, and if that's the case then this entire establishment needs to be shut down and the building torn down. I have already told dozens about my experience at this exact waffle house and I will continue to spread this events details with as many as possible to deture as much future business as I can. I walked in around 2pm on a Friday. There was 1 other customer - and I counted at least 6 employees. I sat down and after a few minutes a woman told me it was going to be a little bit before my order was taken due to shift change. Shortly after another woman entered the restaurant and sat down at the bar to eat chicken wings. The first woman introduced her as our server and said she would take out order when she clocked in. My daughter and I had to wait at least 10 minutes while listening to the several employees just sort of talk and hang out. It didnt make sense to me why they couldn't take our order when we arrived. When the server was done eating, washing her hands, and counting down her register, she took our order and life went on. The food was as good as can be expected from a waffle house and the server was nice. The shift she replaced clearly just felt like they needed to stop orders for 10-15 minutes...
