As a coffee enthusiast and former coffee shop owner, I have been to many and love most all coffee shops. As I passed through this nice little town, I wanted to stop and grab some coffee and a bit to eat while completing work before a meeting. Unfortunately, I chose this place. I dropped my stuff at a table and quickly I noticed an older gentleman, presumably the owner of the shop, tell a young lady that she could sit at my small (two person) table and that he would be talking to me. The girl declined. I was confused, given there were tables next to me that also had only one person at them reading books. The place was busy and so I waited patiently at my table for my coffee and food. I pulled out my laptop and began to try and get some prep work done for my meeting. The older gentleman walked up to me and said that there was a strict no-laptop policy during certain hours. I gleaned around and saw no posting of such rule. I explained that I did not know of the rule (I must note that I also have never heard of such thing at a coffee shop), but I nevertheless said that I understood and would comply. The man then went on to say that I could stay for the time being, but would need to keep an eye on my surroundings and leave if other tables filled. Naturally, I spent the rest of my visit very uncomfortable, frantically checking my surrounding, getting no work done, and ultimately leaving after the 20 minute wait to get my coffee. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a coffee shop. I only post this so that perhaps the owner can improve their service for future first-time visitors. I believe it would have been reasonable for him to say that I could stay, but he was just letting me know about their unique rule for purposes of my next visit. I should note that the rest of the staff were...
Read moreBeen here many times but wonât be back. Yesterday I ordered 2 cold brews and initially was a little grossed out as the girl taking my order stuck her fingers into the cup with long finger nails which not really loving but just kept quiet as I was hoping she had clean hands even though she was touching tablets tongs handles etc. but what I saw next was just unacceptable from a sanitary stand point. The other girl who was making the coffee had to go get two bags of ice to refill the ice cooler. She took the bags dropped them on the floor to break up the ice, flipped them over on both sides to hit it with a hammer then proceeded to put the bag that was just sitting on the floor into the cooler to dump it. So a plastic bag full of condensation laying on the dirty ground picking up who knows what was then put into the freezer where clean ice is supposed to sit. After seeing that I just left. That is just too gross and it is clear after watching the team working that cleanliness is not top of mind. Been coming here on all my Loveland visits but definitely not returning, hopefully this gets corrected for everyone...
