We had a wonderful time here yesterday. I’m going again tomorrow!
They take very good care of the cats. They have them under constant video surveillance. The cafe part of the establishment is the first room when you enter from the outside, and the (extremely adorable) cat room is behind an auto-locking glass door. Before you enter the cat room, you have to use hand sanitizer and put these bag-like covers on your shoes. I forget the frequency at which they do this, but they steam the entire room to make it super hygienic for the kitties and people.
The place has good hours (it closes at a reasonably late time). How it works is that you book ahead, $20 per person ($1 of which is donated to an animal shelter). They have 8 available slots per hour (1 slot = 1 person)—so if 3 people go together, they will be joined by a maximum of 5 people outside of their party.
They have signs on the wall that tell you about the body language of cats.
The atmosphere of the cat room is awesome—if I were a cat, it would be my favorite room of all rooms.
You can donate supplies and toys and other stuff to enhance the lives of these cats, which come from a shelter.
The cats are all very friendly and people-oriented. I love that this place is helping out with overall cat suffering by taking in some shelter cats. A couple of the cats came from a two-room apartment with 26 cats in it… and now they have all the attention + care a cat...
Read moreWent today and absolutely LOVED the experience. Very cozy, decorated well, clean, and tons of space and hiding spots for the kitties if they need it.
The five cats there today I believe are residents and not adoptable, and they are so incredibly sweet. Very playful and so soft and well cared for. There were 10 of us in the room which I felt was maybe a bit too many, felt a tiny bit crowded and hard to get kitty time in without feeling like I was hogging it from others. Though it did lead to some nice conversations! I also love that they close during the day for a while to give the cats a rest and sanitize the space! They were so careful with making sure everyone was sanitized going in and had booties on - its clear these cats are being very well cared for. Someone also often checked in to make sure they were doing okay.
There were coloring books available and comfortable seating.. The coffee is AMAZING and I ended up getting a second one on my way out. Very reasonably priced and at a good size. The snacks are yummy too. There was tons of local art and I made sure to grab a few stickers and a cat toy, and once I have some more money I will absolutely get some of the adorable pottery.
The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Everyone I spoke to was lovely. I wish there was some dedicated parking nearby but it wasn't too difficult locating a street spot.
Seems like an amazing new spot and I can't...
Read moreWonderful cat cafe! I was pretty stoked to hear about this place when I first heard it was opening up. I'm really glad I was able to make the trip up because the atmosphere was super chill. Super nice and helpful staff members, the owner was very warm and knowledgeable, and it's so very obvious how much love has been given to the cats.
So fascinating to see all the cats (and kittens!) in the cat room either exploring, snoozing or having a grand ol' time playing. Love the Victorian theme, how it cleverly built this whole area was to offer comfort and accessibility not only for the cats, but for people too. And I'm sure the cats appreciate the view in their little window nooks...so cute!
It really made my day to give some pets to a couple of cats who literally just wanted all the love (Hi! Copy and Sugarplum!)
The cafe has a clean, open and relaxed vibe with a cute gift area and restrooms for customers. A perfect place for a cat lover to hang out, since there are windows to peek into the cat room to see what the cats are up to!
Overall, I'm super impressed with this cat cafe, and I'm looking forward to making another...
