I’m grateful to live right near Kerouac park. It’s a beautiful tribute to a revolutionary writer known the world over. He was born not too far away on Lupine Rd. I had the opportunity to spend most of my day there last month and hang out with and get to know some of the locals. The park is in the shape of a circle and a cross representing Jack’s faith in Catholicism and Buddhism. The park consists of marble pieces with inscriptions of some of his selected prose works like Dr. Sax, Mexico City Blues, Maggie Cassidy, Visions of Gerard and The Town and the City. The park could definitely use a cleaning, but is a touching memorial to a renegade of literary culture.

A little urban park in Lowell. It's an improvement from what this spot looked like when I was a kid. It now has great views of the canal and is dedicated to Jack Kerouac. They have some monuments to Mr. Kerouac. It is nice as you can walk along here and connect through the college and the old Hilton hotel and avoid walking on the side of busy downtown roads. It may connect to more paths as well. But it was raining last I was here and I did not get too far.

Very small public area with some benches, historical granite markers and cement corn hole things. We took a few pictures and left right away due to shady characters in the park. No playground. No restroom.

Nice place to chill..I always walk by...But it's up to the lowell mayor to get things done..And not only that solve some other problems on lord mayor 321 pawtucket street..We need a light but the other parties like grid and the other on middle sex street got to get on the ball and fix that light..He has the last word..Lowell is not bad as before ..I Graduated in 1987 from lowell high..Where lots of things were not to good..Especially much corruption in the police force...All of them mostly retired or got sued ...they love setting people up..At that time no Department of Children and family cared..They are kind of corrupted too..I have a degree most in Human services..Also Colleges are Corrupted to..Wont say but it's not from lowell ..They lie and take your grant .And then its impossible to find a job in what you studied..The mayor can ask and move the middle sex shelter to a bigger location..or use the old court system on Hurt street..There is plenty of room for addicts and acholics..They are human too..and need lots of support..Maybe a place ..I know they have a place to chill in doqntown..its a cafe..But not enough room..Too much help is needed I blame the goverment ..one drug after another is not solving the problem..The as counselors should get to the problem not add to it..Clean and fallow up on them..A lot needs to be done in the city of lowell..But one thing we know everything with Jesus Christ the son of God is possible if you...

“All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together” I’d like to think this quote by American Novelist Jack Kerouac. Born in #lowell had a significant aspect to this amazing tiny park. Overlaid with the most beautiful green trees one could see in a bustling city. Traffic midday is overwhelming. But if it were possible to pull over, and sit in the park. Until traffic eased up. You might end up being inspired, to write your own poetic quote. #historicpark in a #historiccity...
