Good food, Horrible service! If you don't mind paying money to be treated any way... go here.
I've eaten in twice. The first time was with my son, and got bad service. I thought maybe the waitress had a rough day and that my sons energy level was a bit much.
The second time my wife, son, and I went. We were seated and basically forgotten for 15-20 minutes (and it was no more than 6-8 tables seated). Once we placed our order and got it, we were then forgotten about until the waitress walked by and dropped the bill.
Although the service has been sub par, we thought we'd give it another chance with a take-out order. When I called in to place my order the young lady who answered the phone was extremely unhelpful. I stated that "hi, I've been in a few time, but before I place my order I'd like to know if I could request my pizza be cut into squares"... Now this may seem like a weird request, but not SO ABNORMAL. Many places serve pizza like this (Google it 😉). She immediately states "No I don't THINK we do that". I then politely asked her if she could confirm with her manager, and by this time she already seems annoyed by my request. When she comes back from asking her manager she says "My manager said we can't cut our dough into squares and we're in a dinner rush ".......
2 things with that, #1 you don't have to cut the dough into anything, you'd literally just cut the pizza in a different direction when they're done cooking.. I KNOW, OMG HOW HARD IS IT TO USE OUR BRAINS TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT... #2 It being a "dinner rush" is not my concern + I told the young lady that I didn't want the pizza until 9:30pm which was 2 hours later. By this point I asked to speak to the manager, and Nicole comes over to the phone and tells me "Pizzas are circle there's no way to cut them into squares"... as if there is NO WAY that pizza could be possibly be cut in a different direction.
By this point I'm more internally frustrated, but again I know that this may be something new so I tell Nicole that I'd stop in since I was pretty close to show her, and she told me that's fine so that I can show them a picture.
Fast forward to the end, I go in show Nicole and the young lady the pictures all over Google, Nicole takes my phone to the kitchen a showed the and I quote "Head Chef", and come back and says "The way our dough is made we can't cut it in squares, we won't serve our pizza like that, and if we do it for you EVERYONE will want their pizza cut in squares"....
I thought it was so unbelievably that it was an issue when they were going to have to use a pizza cutter any way to cut the same pizza. I took my $125.93 to Fabiano's Pizzeria on Merrimack (2 mins away), and they were so easy about it and made a simple request, just that simple.
After all of that the only reason I give them a 2 star is because they do have half way decent food, but they have low comprehension levels, and rude service, so I can say I'm officially done with them ✌🏾
TreMonte Staff:
See my pictures to learn how to use a pizza cutter to cut squares... Even if you NEVER take any request, Hopefully you all will adopt better attitudes and service levels. You never know who your giving...
Read morei came here for lunch (unexpectedly because the place we wanted to go to wasn't open) with my fiance. This was our last lunch before I had to fly back to Canada so I will say, the service was quite slow. It was ok but after ordering drinks, My drink was forgotten and I had to remind her that I had ordered a pepsi and she brought it. We did order the mozza triangles which were ok, but the marinara was not anything special. Tomato and cheese just go together. The worst part was the meal. I asked for a pepsi refill when she brought the food and as I went to eat my spaghetti and meatballs, as I lifted the noodles, they were just sitting in a soup of water. The food for me, was pretty dissatisfying. I had to wait over 5 minutes to get my refill just so I could ask the waitress to get the kitchen to drain my pasta (which should never have this amount of water pooling at the bottom) and then had to ask for it to be nuked because I really just didn't have the time to wait for a whole other one. The sauce and the meatballs were very disappointing as well. The sauce is bland. It is... tomato sauce. Store bought preseasoned sauce tastes better than the sauce at this place. This should never be the case paying for fresh food. The meatballs were all different. my first meatball was decent. The 2nd tasted.... musty? I don't even know how else to word it. The 3rd meatball was extremely difficult to cut through and had a pink spot in the middle. These seemed very inconsistent and honestly, were probably frozen and/or old. I used to work at a pizza/pasta place so I do know some of the tendencies to "save time" but at least the food should be consistent. Even my fiances pizza crust seemed really odd. Although the cheese is very moist, the center of the pizza was EXTREMELY thin. I noticed that photos of other people's pizzas seem to be nicer and maybe it was just an off day. But I'm pretty hesitant to com back to this place. I definitely would not order pasta again. Unfortunately, our waitress never actually came by to ask us how the food was after giving my food back after being drained and nuked ( I did not touch my food at all after she brought it and was waiting for my refill for so long that it got cold as she walked back and forth by us numerous times with my holding my cutlery up and not having touched my food but honestly... it shouldn't have taken over 5 minutes to get a refill when there were maybe 3 tables in the restaurant at the time? she was busy wiping down tables which is fair, but the wait was unreasonable and I felt forgotten after the refill and the replated and reheated pasta was given. I personally would have double checked the food was good especially after a customer not even touching their food because it was sitting in a pool of water). My fiance did end up liking his pizza, although he did say the crust was inconsistent in thickness throughout the pizza. He did say the flavour was alright. But he also said he could get better for cheaper elsewhere so he'd likely not come back even though his...
Read moreI will never come here again. The General Manager, Reed, was very combative towards us. The one star is for the delicious food.
Myself and two others came here on a Friday night a little after dinner time. We were seated right away and the server took our order shorty after. We waited, and waited and waited for over 40 minutes. The restaurant was not packed at the time and we saw several pizzas come in and out of the oven- but no sight of ours. I was finally able to flag down our server (who was obviously over worked and stressed) to see if we could get an estimate on how much longer it may be before we get our pizza. She said she would come back and let us know in a minute but never did. The general manager leaned over our table and said "Pizza will be out soon guys. We're busy". In return I said "Okay, but this is getting very frustrating because we've been waiting for over an hour at this point". He looked at me and very slowly repeated "I said... the pizza will be out soon" as if we were incompetent. At that point my blood was boiling. I told the manager that this was ridiculous and he said "well I can just cancel the order". Hell no. We've been waiting that long, we aren't leaving without a pizza.
A few minutes later the general manager brought us our pizza and gave us another sarcastic apology. This time he said "sorry I can't really change the past. you can see we're busy." I was being as nice as I possibly could in the moment, but I was heated. I didn't even look at him and grabbed a slice of the pizza. It's too bad the pizza was so delicious. If the GM handled the situation differently, I'd be back for more.
When we were done eating, the General Manager brought us our check and said "I pulled the time stamp. You wen't here for over an hour. You were only here for an hour. See." and he pointed to the check. I said "even waiting 1 hour is ridiculous...and you shouldn't argue with a customer" He told me "I'm not arguing... I'm pointing out where your story was obviously flawed and false" So at that point he called me a liar. He said he originally wanted to take the pizza off and was going to offer us dessert, but realized that "nothing was going to make me happy so it's probably best if we just leave and choose a different restaurant next time"
Hold up-In what world do you argue with the customer, call them a liar, say you can never make them happy and then tell them to go somewhere else next time? In the service industry, you should always have the mentality that the customer is always right. If I said I was waiting for over an hour- then it's your job to say "I'm so sorry, that is ridiculous. You shouldn't be waiting that long". You don't call them a liar, and you try to gain their business back again in any way you can. You say "I'm very sorry we fell short tonight. We really hope you give us another try down the road".
After actually being yelled at by Reed, I will never be back. Please do not go here unless you want to be degraded, and insulted while you wait 2 hours to eat your...
