I’ve been to the original Primanati Bros in Pittsburgh twice as a tourist stop. When one was opened in Hershey I was excited but not enough to go out of my way for it. But when this one opened on the West Shore, I had no more excuse not to visit -- I mean I had driven more than 3 hours to Pittsburgh before for it and now there's one right in our backyard, right? So this location is attached to the Capital City Mall and the vibe is totally different than the original one in Pittsburgh. It's big, modern and trendy, kind of like many other American chain restaurants. In a way, it kind of loses the character I had remembered it for, except for its signature big sandwiches stack with French fries and coleslaws in between 2 thick slices of Italian bread. On our first visit, we ordered 2 of the New Yorker to go because that's what we had in Pittsburgh. Well, it was a bit of a disaster because the bottom bread was completed soaked and soggy. I would advise to either dine in, or have everything on the side if you order to go. That being said, the pastrami and corned beef along with the coleslaws did bring back some fond memories in Pittsburgh. On our second time we tried the Pitts-Burger and The Sirloin Steak Sandwiches. The burger was rather bland, while the steak was much more tasty and I'd definitely recommend the latter. Bottomline: You no longer have to go to Pittsburgh to try this cultural icon. So do it, at least once!

First time and last time here. It was very busy and the staff managed to maintain. The service was great and we didn’t wait long for drinks or our food. The problems we experienced were with the food and the operation taking place around us. We were sat at the last table in the back of the restaurant, a side door next to us where at least 5 different food delivery drivers were waiting for food orders. It wasn’t a pleasant addition for the atmosphere. We were right next to the kitchen next to a half wall to separate us from the expedition of the food, not a problem we enjoyed seeing all the different sandwiches and the giant pretzels going out. However, the employees had their coats laying over the wall hanging right above our table. You can see them in the photo posted. The end of this review is about the food, my fries were fine but my girlfriend’s fries were limp and soggy and lacking heat. Yet the cheese fries that came with the appetizer were hot and fresh but came to the table after our entrees. We ordered food to go as well, it was dropped off already packaged to go. The next day we went for a bite of the sandwich and there was hair in the fries on the sandwich. Certainly not any of ours, it was thick and curly and hopefully from someone’s beard and not anywhere else. So the 12$ sandwiches went in the trash. Also to add the buffalo chicken on the sandwich tasted funky. So I would recommend skipping that.

I came here for dinner on a Friday night, I guess I’m used to a host being at the front end, but my man and I stood there for a good 10 min before he finally went over to a waitress and asked if we could just sit anywhere. Eventually we sat, were greeted, asked for recommendations and our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The steak and cheese sandwich I ordered wasn’t seasoned enough for me but was still decent. Of course I could only finish half because of the amount of bread. The drink was during happy hour but I recommend it, it was very good the loaded onion rings were tasty as well. The funnel cake fries were a little overcooked/hard but flavor wise still ok. Service was great and I decided to come back Sunday for a pick up order before I left. They were advertising I think .78 cent wings so I decided to get a 20 pc and a cheesecake burrito. The boneless wings were very good and sauce flavorful but the cheesecake burrito just wasn’t it for me. I ordered the strawberry one but was given caramel. Note the caramel one says caramel cheesecake burrito.

Over the past year we have been going to this restaurant a bit more frequently than we were. Why, well did you ever walk into a place and you felt welcome from the start. This be the place.. great service, great food great atmosphere, clean, friendly staff and did I mention the food being good. This ol' boy loves their fresh cut french friends, although the need to return to the old way of preparing them. I love them extra crispy and all you need to do is ask for them that way. Tonight our greeter was Josh, who I later found out was a manager, by the way Josh, loved the shirt. Very springy. The came along Ms. Amanda who got us our drinks almost immediately, made up by a new bartending face to us, Mr. Conley! By the way Mr Conley, you keep that bar squeaky queen and you have an awesome smile! Thanks for your service! We also got to chat with another server that is over the top. No really, Mrs. Michelle, EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! You go girl! And I have to share this. As we were chatting I noticed our server Amanda walking by, checking to make sure we were good, and we were. Never once did she interrupt our conversation with Michelle and I appreciate it so much. At one point when I noticed her checking again, she got a thumbs up from me letting her know that we were all good. Our order was great as always. If we ever had an issue, which is bound to happen they are always right there wanting to make things right! So, kudos to the kitchen staff as well. And as I was talking to Josh about how I appreciated Amanda's not interrupting us but also was attentive to us all the time. Then we got met Ms. Nichole. The reason that the entire restaurant is such an amazing experience. Not only does she have a great personality but I noticed her out in the thick of thing doing whatever needed done. We got a chance to meet her and I told her of our ongoing experience there and how it friendlier, cleaner, great staff! And the food was good as well. Having many years in management experience, I know that any business is reflected by the management running the place. Hey corporate! Nichole has done a remarkable job with this restaurant and she is by far, not only a keeper but amazing! So, yeah, go, have fun with the staff and enjoy the atmosphere and food. I noticed that the staff helps one another as well. That is so cool! Oh yeah, it is a sports bar. So, go watch the big game, eat the amazing wings, fries, and a drink of choice. You will be glad that you did I promise! Keep up the good work gang, You all are so amazing. Oh one more thing, table 16, that belongs to...

Loaded fries.....my favorite

Just wanted to add that Calvin is amazing! He was fantastic. He was patient and kind to my son. Thank you again sir!! We will definitely go back.

*Unfortunately last night's visit will probably be our last. Cheeseburger loaded fries are the only thing I get when I go there. Now they are not on the restaurant menu but do appear on "Get loaded," which is their online ordering option, I have never had an issue getting them on site until last night. Server was new, she was good, but when I asked for them and explained it has never been an issue, she went back and said it wasn't in the system so I couldn't get them. I looked online and low and behold there they were. Still couldn't get them. My son had taken me out for dinner and said I could choose something different because I might like it. So I did.....what a horrible mistake. We should've just left and gone elsewhere. We both ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Everything was piping hot and fresh......but also extremely gresey...more so than necessary or than had ever been. Plating was horrible and half the bottom bun was grease soaked from the fries. Oh the fries.....we must've gotten the bottom of the bag as they were just small pieces of REALLY WELL done fries covered with a few longer less done fries. Neither of us finished our plates and left feeling we wasted $45.

I looked this morning online to get a screnshot of the fries I wanted to order, and they have now been removed from there as well. So maybe they decided chopping up a burger and throwing it on some fries was waaaaaay more difficult than cooking up some bacon and throwing some cheese on them or throwing on some rub meat or jalapeños.

All and all it is a business' option to change up the menu, as they all do To keep business moving forward, however this change will keep me from coming back and to stop recommending them for their AMAZING...

This place is an absolute DISASTER. The last 3 times going here have had major issues, made excuses for them but it's clearly not getting any better. Reported the issues each time and was given a $5 credit then a $10 credit not even close to fixing the issues. The last 3 orders i've received the text for pickup that my order is ready, only to arrive and have to wait over 30 mins with one order being cancelled because there pizza oven was broken. This is a 30 minute drive for me and I was offered $5 off my next order, insulting. This past order same issues, arrived 30 mins after i got the text saying the food was ready, called in and was told my order isn't ready and i'll have it shortly. Well after 25 mins of waiting and seeing multiple other cars in the pickup line slamming doors and literally walking inside to get their own food since the staff is clearly not capable of handling their jobs or providing actual service. Then I decided to walk in myself since I called in again to be told my food isn't ready. Surprise surprise the food was sitting on the shelf getting cold. No communication no sorry no anything. The pizza boxes were so soggy i had to hold them in the middle to avoid the box caving in. Not only that the pizza was terrible. There were multiple slices that literally didn't even have cheese on them. The staff was horrendous for the third time in a row, the cooks are terrible, and management is an absolute insult. I will never step foot in the facility again and if you want to save yourself a headache you shouldn't either. I reported this in detail with times, receipts, photos, and was offered $10 off my next meal. These people suck. Insulting is an understatement. Garbage location and makes the Primanti bros name look like an...
