I just had the most upsetting experience at this location. I ordered cheese fries, after taking 2 bites I noticed that there was a HUGE shard of hard, dirty plastic that mustāve broke off of a piece of their equipment. After finding this I just wanted a refund and did not feel safe eating their food, my bf brought it back up for me and politely requested a refund. One of the younger employees told us that he was advised by the older man cooking the orders that they cannot give us a refund and will remake it instead even though we clearly stated we did not feel comfortable eating their food at this point. They tried to force us to take a new order of fries, and when we gave some push back, questioning why we couldnāt just get a refund for the fries, the older man came to the front and threw the fries on the counter while yelling at us saying ā HERE YOU GO, HAVE A GOOD DAY HAVE A GOOD DAY BYE!ā And proceeded to walk away along with the rest of the employees who then tried to just ignore us standing there. At that point, I felt helpless and didnāt know what to do, it then took me holding up the picture that I took of the plastic in my food and raising my voice in-front of a crowd of people for an older woman (who Iām assuming is one of the owners) to come to the register and pull out $3 which wasnāt even the full amount that we paid ($4.02). but at that point I just wanted to leave since they were all making me feel like I was crazy and put me in a position where I felt completely embarrassed just for a simple request I made regarding a mistake and huge food safety risk on their part. I wasnāt even going to leave a review about the plastic but the way that they handled the situation and treated us was so disgusting and degrading that I left in tears. Plastic or any materials that can come off of any equipment of theirs is a huge food safety risk and can cause major harm if ingested, I just wanted to bring it to their attention and did not even plan on making it a big deal. Despite voicing my disappointment regarding the lack of halal options and the inflated prices, the staff showed no remorse or willingness to rectify the situation. This further reinforced my belief that the establishment was solely focused on maximizing profits rather than providing a satisfying dining experience. When i told i will give them low rating on Yelp and google he said I don't care, I don't care several times.
I am very disappointed and also I have doubt that they are even serving Halal or not how they are claiming it as upon asking the halal certification or halal print on the carton from which they are using beef they were not able to provide that.
