We've come here many times. Our favorite ice cream place after bopping around ardmore. Quality is always consistent and items are crafted with creativity and care. Whipped cream tastes fresh made, along with everything else. Always well staffed and theyre very friendly and focused.
I almost always order the deconstructed smores.. the flavors have been very thoughtfully combined. The ice cream isn't overly sweet, the semi sweet chocolate craggles don't overwhelm the palate and they're a fantastic texture. I felt like the most recent time I 6 marshmallow felt homemade compared to times before. A marshmallow is a marshmallow of course, always good if they're fresh but the seemingly homemade one was exquisite, always perfectly toasted. Crispy graham cracker crumbs and cocoa dust here and there. The super silky soft serve is one of my favorites. Closest I feel I've gotten to my memories of custard and cakes soft serve in manayunk when I was a kid. Shakes are always super creamy and flavorful and fresh. Make sure u mention any allergies. I don't have any but sometimes there's a dash of Graham cracker crust or otherwise thrown on for aesthetics u may not see coming since I don't think they're mentioned in the descriptions. I have no issue with it personally! Music selection is always fantastic as well! It's one of those places that has such good items, it's hard to try other things because you've been thinking about what you last got literally since you...
Read moreThe soft serve is fine enough (it's just from a machine), but the toppings are lacking and not thought out (for example, the chocoholic comes with a brownie that they microwave to scalding temperature and burn the core to a rock hard crisp). Service is also incredibly slow. Also, for the amount of ice cream you get this is way overpriced compared to the likes of Chloe's Corner or C&C.
Edit: I decided to give it another try and got something more exotic (the Chai Chai) and the experience was overall much better this time. So I would say the real niche of this place is in the more unusual topping options. The Chai Chai had a nice chai flavor and was complimented well by the Indian biscuits. The service was also much quicker this time. It's still expensive, but that might be worth it if you're going for one of their really...
Read moreNice flavors, very friendly and something close to home (flavors: julab jamun on the ice cream). We enjoyed it.
However please try to make your place eco friendly, we need less plastic, switch to paper cups, your cups are just plain plastic single use which will go to trash in less than half hour, I very rarely complain but you need to change to paper cups, they can still look great, the same sticker on your plastic cups will look great on paper cups too. Your spoons are fine: wood so it's bio degradable.
Pricing wise, some people have complained that it's too high... in defence of the people running this place, you come here for the experience, fun, commercial rental is expensive, staffing, making the place nice and so on... let's be realistic. I think the pricing is fine.
We don't have a planet B. Otherwise...
