A Catch of the Day: This New Mariscos Spot is a Must-Try! âFrom the moment we walked in, it was clear that Costamar is destined to be a neighborhood favorite. This isn't just another taquerĂa; it's a vibrant, coastal experience bringing genuinely innovative Mexican seafood (mariscos) to the table. Our visit was marked by impeccable food and, most importantly, truly great service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout the entire meal. âThe culinary creativity here is off the charts, especially with their masterful use of octopus. We started with the refreshing Octopus Cocktail, which was tender, perfectly chilled, and swimming in a bright, savory brothâthe ideal start to a seafood feast. Next, the Octopus Tacos blew us away; each generous helping of buttery octopus was wrapped in a tortilla held together by cheese. âHowever, the dish that stole the showâand is an absolute must-orderâis the audacious Tostadas Unagi. Tacos were pretty run-of-the-mill for Lubbock, and again a huge portion. You could go just for the chips and salsa. The salsa is awesome. But, if you want fresh seafood, this is the only place I know of that you can get it, and itâs top notch quality. The other choices are fried or $75 sea bass at Las Brisas with $25 broccolini. Also, the menu is extensive. Lots of choices. Very friendly service and...
