At here about 7 pm on a Friday night - absolutely loved it. It's a small small space which is why it's a 4 star atmosphere, but it's very clean and neat inside, not loud like it could be. All the employees we interacted with are nice!
They offer 3 spice levels up to extra hot. They have other extras like jalapenos, chili oil and a ultra tasty crispy garlic oil.
We had their pork satay, beef egg rolls, pad see ew (medium) and pad Thai (hot). Their beef egg rolls didn't short you on the filling, it was a packed roll and there was plenty of visibly moist beef inside. Came out hot with sweet chili dipping sauce, very very good!! The satay came out, also piping hot. The 4 skewers were also very moist, had lovely lemongrass and curry and coriander flavors, and peanut sauce had great flavor, sitting between sweet and smokey just right. Their cucumber salad to the side gave the needed cut.
Entrees we're both a generous amount of food and we're both so hot we had to let it sit a bit and stir to cool down - but both were very saucy and, with meats moist and noodle plump. The Pad See Ew was just right with heat for me, they accidentally gave me both beef and chicken which worked cause I could preview both. I prefer the beef, spice was just enough for me. Pad Thai was quite spicy and light despite being a massive bowl and the peanut crispy top was great.
Absolutely nothing af at all in the food we had. We're confident if we did take away that our food driven back to the house would still be hot hot. It's all evidently cooked too order, nothing has been sitting on deck getting stale or overcooked waiting on customers.
Absolutely must try this place!!
We paid 38 and change, leaving 12 dollar tip on the card and wish I'd had cash to leave once we...
Read moreI came here on the recommendation of a colleague at my university, and to her great credit, she picked a winner. I thanked her profusely for directing me to this very unpretentious Thai establishment that, to the regular visitor of Thai restaurants, would not have been able to detect anything Thai about it upon entering the door.
There was no Thai art, no altar to the Buddha, no photo of Thailand’s King and his extremely extended family, no waving cat. It looked just like any other suburban takeaway joint.
But boy was I wrong in that assessment. You don’t need altars and cats to make your point, just good food. Mam’s does this in spades.
I ordered the green curry with tofu, and was nearly crying with happiness. Well, and maybe because of the heat delivered on two levels: it was damn hot temperature-wise, and likewise in terms of spice (even though I requested medium). No problems there, even though my tongue may have been asking for a ruling on the matter. I scorched it a bit, something I was feeling the morning after.
But seriously. This is some of the best Thai cuisine you could find anywhere. My curry was a four-alarm fire—nose running, eyes watering, sweating, and even coughing a bit. If that isn’t the definition of perfect Thai food, I don’t know what is.
I will be back, oh hell yeah. Bring...
Read moreI got panaang curry chicken and shrimp pad thai both medium spice. I got these entrees to go and it was such an easy process. I simply pulled up to their to go window and ordered and then was given a handheld alarm thing which lights up when your order is ready. I went and ran some errands nearby and then came back to pickup food (most people probaly wait in the parking lot). The food was delicious! As a for Tech student, I loved Thai pepper on 19th and I heard this place was somehow associated with the orignial thai pepper owners, not sure if that is true but the food sure tasted like the thai pepper food I had loved for many years. I got medium but i think next time I will get hot spice level but the medium was delicious! The to go portions were generous! I am excited to eat inside the restaurant...
