Note pic is of a “Well done” pepperoni & red pepper

First if you want to get a pie in prime season you have to call in ahead of time. That means 12-2 pm. You pick a time for the evening to have your pie(s) ready.

A bit cumbersome but they have to manage the crowds somehow. Also the pie I ordered was pulled from the oven exactly 60 seconds before my pre arranged pick up time. They have a system and it works.

The pizza itself is wonderful. Crust is the highlight and you will notice how light it is after your first bite. It still manages to have a crisp bottom and a slight chew that’s key to a great pizza crust.

Sauce is clearly house prepared and is recognizable by larger chunks of tomato. Some might not enjoy this but the sauce had a wonderful fresh taste and a good balance of sweetness/acidity.

Cheese/toppings were good as well. The pepperonis in particular had a great smokey flavor and that wonderful “cup” shape which holds in some grease.

That said even with it being a pepperoni pizza it was not a greasy pizza. Pizza box barely had any bleed through. Not a pizza that is going to make you sluggish and bloated even after polishing off half (or more) of a large pie.

All that said there is a critique and that is seen in the picture. Cook was a bit uneven which caused the bottom to get a touch more than well done. It wasn’t “overcooked” though as the top could have honestly used another 30-60 secs.

Oh and the oven itself was a beauty with full logs of wood providing the heat. This might be why it’s tougher for them to control the top/bottom heat ratio.

All in all an exceptional pie. Just be careful ordering it well done. If they got the cook perfect top/bottom it would probably be in my top...

Being in the food industry in VT next to a ski resort should be priority. Called to see how busy they were. Was put on hold but not really on hold. Could hear all conversations in the back ground then no one returned to my phone call after being on hold for 3 minutes. Showed up to the restaurant if that’s what you want to call it. Placed an order for a pizza and a ceaser salad, along with a beer. 25 minutes later the salad showed up into a to go box looking like it came out of the dumpster with dressing on the side. Who the heck puts dressing on the side for a ceaser salad.? While waiting, a customer comes in to place an order and was told pizza will be about 15-20 if they’d like to wait. Meanwhile we’ve been waiting 45 minutes. Pizza shows up finally burned. I understand that a wood fired pizza is usually a little crispier than most. Burned is not okay unless you like eating chard wood coals. When we went to pay before leaving they had no clue what we even ordered. Really folks, Sunday night after all the skiers have left and you can’t remember what we ordered. Could’ve walked out not paying with no one even caring. Lastly another customer walked in @ 7:45 and was turned away because they had 8 pizzas ahead of them. That’s BS, when you’re in the customer service industry you help every customer that walks through that door until the time that’s posted for your actual closing time. Growing up in Vermont, makes it tough to write a negative review but this...

In a COVID world this is a great alternative to dining in. Last day of skiing, checked out of the vrbo and needed to get lunch on the way home after skiing half day. Goodman's was recommended by the vrbo owner and it was perfect! A bit different in that you pick your sauce (5 options:Aged Asiago Mozzarella Fresh Ricotta Feta Cabot's Habeñero Cheddar Parmesan DAIYA (Plant Based) ALL GMO FREE!), pick your cheese (7 options:Craig's "Secret" Tomato Sauce Fresh Pesto Olive Oil With or Without Garlic Spicy Black Bean & Chipotle BBQ) and pick your toppings (23 options:Sweet Italian Sausage Pepperoni Meatball Bacon Ham Wood-Fired Chicken Mushrooms Onions Black Olives Broccoli Green Pepper Fresh Tomato Spinach Sun-dried Tomato Fresh chopped Garlic Pineapple Jalapeños Artichoke hearts Corn Roasted Red Peppers Banana Peppers Anchovies~ Fresh Basil). Oh and you can pick from Cauliflower crust or regular!! We are a family of 4 and everyone loved their woodfire pizza creations. Service was prompt, had ordered when we were still on the mountain and it was ready when we asked for it to start the journey back to Mass....

My recent visit to Goodman American Pie was a delightful experience, highlighted by their unique pizza offerings. We ordered two pizzas: the 'Rip Curl' with chicken and white sauce, and the 'Herbivore' topped with tomato, bell pepper, and various vegetables. The flavors were spot-on, with each pizza offering its own distinct and enjoyable taste profile. However, there was a slight drawback - parts of both pizzas were burned and blackened, which affected the overall enjoyment. This was a bit disappointing and the reason for my four-star rating. On a positive note, the atmosphere is very friendly, complete with a billiards table and game machines, adding a fun and relaxed vibe to the place. Great for a casual outing, but there's room for improvement in their baking consistency.

So I have been hunting for a really great pizza place and at last!! I found it! I moved up from Philly about a year ago and I have to say- this is some fantastic pizza. Taste, texture, and experience is an A+. Highly recommended. The staff is super friendly and I can’t wait to come back after such a warm welcome. Also, if you plan to eat there they have a secret sitting area out back that gives you a serene view of the river that cuts through the woods. Great place to relax and work on a project or take your partner on a date. Love the ambience of this place. Good vibes all around- highly recommended.
