Tygart Mountain Sports near Okemo is an excellent ski and snowboard rental shop that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly and knowledgeable service that made me feel right at home.

I purchased an awesome pair of Black Crows, my dad got an end of season deal on some Volkls and my kids did their first rentals here.

What really stood out to me about Tygart Mountain Sports was the level of attention and care they put into fitting each customer for their equipment. The staff took the time to ensure that my boots were properly sized and my skis were adjusted to my height and skill level, which made a huge difference in my comfort and performance on the mountain. The guys will talk to you for as long as you need and are full of advice.

Had a great experience, we reserved rental skis online and were able to slide right in to pick up our skis on the way to the mountain. My wife's boots ended up not fitting very well, something we didn't fully understand until we were on the mountain, but we took them back and explained what the problem was.

Patrick, the owner was there, undstood the issue and hooked us up with an upgraded boot rental at no extra cost. We used the gear for 3 days with no issues, the wax and edges held up great. So special shout out and thanks to Patrick, I'm an avid snowboarder and my wife is just learning to ski. Thanks to his boot fitting / gear knowledge and willingness to take care of us, he set our little ski trip up for success. My wife was comfortable (well.. as much comfort as ski boots allow) and able to enjoy herself and learn to ski. She progressed from magic carpets, to riding greens from summit to base. Most importantly, she caught the bug! She's hooked on skiing and excited about future ski trips 🤞🤞

This is by far the most friendly and helpful ski rental shop my family has been to, and we ski every year. We are business owners and know the importance of good service and professionalism starting from the top. The owner of this place was so nice from the moment we walked in the door. He answered all of our questions and made sure to check on us throughout the process even though he was busy with a lot going on. The two guys who took care of fitting us for boots and skis were wonderful. I have a wide calf and was uncomfortable in the first boot I tried on, so they immediately took out their tools and fixed them up for the perfect fit.
