Whataburger — Restaurant in Lufkin

I had 2 coupons for free Whataburger's IF I purchased a medium drink and medium french fry. Not a bad deal since you're saving your self $2.16. I really like this location as the people are always friendly. They obviously are big on hamburgers, which they have several combinations to choose from, but they do offer other items on their menu as well. They have chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and bites and a couple different salads. And they offer a breakfast menu as well! I mostly use the drive-thru but have ate inside a couple times and it's always been very clean. They have a lot of table space inside and do have high chairs for the little ones. They also have a public restroom. Their drive-thru is in a great location with easy access. There is plenty of parking regardless of what you're driving since Walmart's parking lot is right in front of the restaurant. They also have a couple tables outside and there's music playing (I don't know who provides the music). The music is nice to listen to especially this time of the year as they are play Christmas music. The location isn't the best for sitting outside to eat but I'd still enjoy it in the evening times occasionally. They have made a mistake on a take-out order of mine in which they did not give me my onion rings but they were quick to fix the issue. I'd highly recommend this place for a bite to eat. The price is average as any other fast food restaurant and what-a-burger...

Decided to take a chance and grab breakfast after working all night on the morning of 4/26. Dined in. Manager lady thought it would be funny to quiz me if "I was going to eat all that". All I ordered was 3 taquitos and 3 hashbrowns with a small drink. I ordered the hashbowns to go inside the taquitos because I felt it easier than confusing the staff, since I like sausage and potatoes in my breakfast taco. Rather than throw them a curve ball, I paid with Insult. I'm 6'5" and 365 lbs. Speaking of which, what's up with your "one size fits all" booths in the restaurant that are glued to the floor? Not everyone can fit in that spot. Sure....you have some chairs available....but not everyone wants to sit with their back to the door in these days in times. Every chair in there was situated that way. Needs work. 1 star. Please educate your staff to keep their rude remarks to themselves. Edit: another trick the manager pulled was charging me 22.98 for this meal. I ordered the exact same meal today in another town and was 18.78. Upon further investigation it's the way the manager rang it up, doing everything individual instead of making a combo. This manager was also a person that doesn't look like me, so I feel that came into play also. Don't have my best interest in mind and that will be remembered and I will tell...

I want to say my experience with this Whataburger, has been up and down. At one point I swore I would never go back. The last visits I’ve had through the drive have been so great. There is a very nice lady, named Brenda who works the window. Whatever she is paid she deserves a raise. She brought my business back to this store, and I will happily return to see her, and buy more food. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences at the store, and Brenda is the reason why. I’ve done every single job in a restaurant from dish washer, serving, bartending, line cooking, prep work, all the way to management which I currently do (in fast food). She’s the type of employee whataburger needs, and I wish I had someone like her in my own store. If you visit tell Brenda to have a great night, and that she’s amazing at her job. Not a lot of people understand fast food can be draining, and that lady deserves all the praise for what she brings for her company from the start of the order to saying have a blessed night as she hands...
