Mount Holly International Buffet — Restaurant in Lumberton Township

I went here with my husband I read the reviews of good food and was sadly disappointed! Not one bite of me and my husbands food where good. I had the clams and they where not cleaned! I had a mouth full of salt water it was not pleasant. Then had the cooked shrimp not one of their multiple different flavors of shrimp where cleaned, even the ones by the salad. There wasn't much variety as I thought by the pictures this place was not big. I then went over to the sushi section... I had the cooked eel and shrimp... the eel was okay but tasted tough as well as the shrimp. The shrimp roll was very dried out and tough to chew. The teriyaki chicken was horrible! The teriyaki seasoning tasted nothing like teriyaki. I had to use my drink as a way to swallow my food it was that bad. Normally me and my husband aren't picky but we did stop for a second and laughed as we watch each other chew for minutes because the food was that tough. It was not worth 17.99 of horrible food. I wish there was one good thing to say, we even tried the dessert... the cake looked like they used yellow cake for all their cakes only with different toppings not a big deal but the toppings to the coconut tasted hard and stale and the chocolate topping tasted horrible. Finally we finished with a "cheese cake" which should been called ice cream because you can't even put your fork through the center it was hard. The bites we did get didn't taste like cheese cake but rather bitter and not sweet. I won't trust the reviews of good food won't be back. Looks fake now that I seen all the reviews of 5 stars and...

Hm maybe my hopes were too high because this particular buffet had better reviews than the rest of the local ones, HOWEVER I was unimpressed. The food wasn’t terrible sushi was okay but be prepared to pay a good three to four dollars per one less than carbonated cup of soda. The total for our soft drinks was ridiculous and The price at the end was more than expected not to mention they hand you a check before you even get desert. It was busy because I was there a Saturday night but I didn’t like being watched and feeling like they wanted to put a new party in our spot so quickly. That wasn’t cool. There were a few food items that were pretty decent but some were just not good. Maybe I’m being a diva but I also didn’t love how close they put other food next to the desert section. There was no order to it all different food everywhere. For instance seeing the platter of mussels next to the cheesecakes gave me the creeps. I just had visions of someone not paying attention pouring their mussels onto their plate while letting the mussel juice drip over onto the cheesecake so I passed on desert. It was strange because all the food really had no order there were octopus next to jello just didn’t know what to expect but it’s a buffet so whatever. The sushi selection was completely separate it would’ve been convenient if they did that to the rest of the food because it was packed and my first time and I was walking in circles not knowing what I’d find in the next platter. I don’t plan on going back you can get cheaper mediocre food...

The food was disgusting the ice cream bowls were not washed properly with still ice cream in them my mother received bloody Chicken and when we called the manager over to address the situation he said that he would make more chicken and when we went to go and get more chicken from the new batch the new chicken was orange and yellow my sister went into the bathroom and there were two other employees there was a server and the server was actually serving to our table and a hibachi chef that was in charge of grilling the food neither of them wash their hands with soap or properly for 20 seconds also the staff and servers were very rude they watched over us the whole time when we are going to get food from the buffet part of the restaurant and when we were coming back to our table to sit down they would watch us the whole time while we were eating and getting up when we had finally had enough with the food because we were very unsatisfied we went to go cash out and check out at the desk and the manager was sitting right at the desk for checkout when we had went to talk to the manager about the complaints that we had about the food and the restaurant we had also noticed that they had added about $26 for our original Total for no absolute reason then when the manager had heard about the chicken for the second time he said he would take $5 off until even though no one ate any of their food because of how disgusting it was and how cold and very unsanitary that restaurant was I suggest that nobody ever...
