I have nothing good to say about San Jose restaurant other than when they first opened in Lumberton years ago they were very customer friendly and it was obvious they were thankful for their customers. I visited this establishment last weekend or take out. Well now that they're spending $56. One of my dishes was supposed to be the heat has I got home and I had a bowl full of peppers and onions. The only other plate I had was an order of quesadillas everything else was in small side item bowls. He even charged me for the salsa that comes with it. When I took the bowl with peppers and onions bag he looked me in my face and said know I put you down for fajitas that's what you got even though he wasn't the one in the kitchen that made it I could not believe he literally refused to make it right. Not only did he refuse to make it right but he wasn't rude and dismissive. There is no doubt San Jose has forgotten where they started. I am big on customer service and support and local businesses and after many many years of dying at this place I will never go back. Not to mention the food and the portion size is horrible especially when you compare it to other places in town such as Del Sol. this restaurant Del Sol, is so grateful for all of their customers and very kind. When you walk in the door you know they are glad to have your business. And their portions are huge and prices are not as hot as San Jose. I will not ever go back to San Jose restaurant and every time I get a chance to tell another person about my experience I make sure to do it. And I tell a lot of people because work with the public...
Read moreGot one star because I can't go any lower. The poor experience starts as soon as you walk in the door employees sitting around watching TV look at you with a face that suggests how dare you come here so I have to earn pay. They rush you and everything they do to limit being around to serve you as much as possible. They're attitude suggests they couldn't care less whether you stay to eat or not. Your food looks and tastes like as little effort as possible was put into preparing it proportions are considerably smaller than other restaurants and the prices are high in comparison. On top of all this the place is dirty as all get out and they take forever to get you your bill so you have to sit there and listen to music that's too loud and watch the silent channel of CNN with Spanish subtitles. Won't be going back and very surprised at how it is in contrast to the sister store in Elizabethtown which is awesome.......
Gave them another try tonight 7-7-18 ordered food to go. All our food was cold, 70% of my plate was rice. The menu claimed I was getting a rib eye steak but was clearly a chuck steak. My 2 spoonfuls of refried beans were severely watered down. Why you have to cut something so cheap with water to stretch it is beyond me. My girlfriend got a quesadilla not really much you can do wrong. All in all with all the people giving similar reviews the family that owns this chain either needs to close this location or put another family member in charge because it's giving...
Read moreCan't believe the poor service. Restaurant was not full. Ordered guacamole, flautas, fajitas and 2 margaritas. We are not really sure there was any alcohol in the margaritas. Guacamole was supposed to be made at table but it was not. Fajitas were served on a cold skillet but were overcooked. The flautas were supposed to be 2 chicken and 2 beef according to the menu but they were all chicken. Had to ask for silverware and server came back with one set of metal and one plastic "to go"set. Asked for another set of metal utensils and he said they were being washed. Two minutes later the dishwasher brought out a huge basket of clean utensils but we never got any. No one ever came by to ask if we wanted anything else or how our meal was. Our server and several other employees were sitting at a table eating and watching football game while customers were waiting for service. We finally stood up and went to host station to ask for our...
