Pizza Heaven — Restaurant in Luzerne

Pizza Heaven is a cozy pizza parlor that offers Sicilian-style pizza, wings, and an assortment of sides.

We arrived at approximately 7:45 on a Friday evening, and took the last remaining table, yet the place was beginning to empty shortly thereafter. There were plenty of customers arriving for takeout throughout our time there.

Our server was wonderful, extremely friendly, pleasant, and helpful. When asked about the "Kitchen Sink" pizza (which includes a cheese blend, red sauce, wildflower honey, chicken, among other ingredients), she simply came back with a huge picture, stating it was hard to describe, but very heavy and very good.

Intimidated, we opted for a 14-slice tray of regular cheese pizza. The piping hot dough was soft and fresh, with onions and a lot of cheese. Although I'm not a fan of having a lot of sauce on my pizza, this could have used a tad bit more. You could barely taste it, and would have made the dish perfect.

Like other neighborhood pizza joints, Pizza Heaven seems to do quite a bit of business on Friday nights, and no doubt on Saturdays as well. Although there isn't a parking lot, there is plenty of street parking nearby.

Although not completely pleased with the cheese pizza, it was good enough to warrant a possible return at a future date, possibly to try out the Kitchen Sink or one of their other specialty pizzas. Don't be afraid to give this...

We enjoyed another delicious dinner tonight at Pizza Heaven on the corner of Bennett and Sly in Luzerne. Consistently good food and service! Normally we load up and get halushki, pierogies, bites, and pizza, so I’ll include them in our review, but tonight we just got heavenly ranch bites and kitchen sink pizza. The pierogies were stuffed full and were delicious. We opted for butter and onions and felt it was the perfect amount...they weren’t swimming in butter and the taste of the pierogie itself came through nicely. The halushki is out of this world! So good! I think it is the best halushki I’ve ever had. (We do opt to add bacon to it.) I don’t know how to describe the very unique kitchen sink pizza, but we get it every time and it just hits right…there is a lot going on with it, but it totally works. Delicious, comforting, satisfying. We had plenty to eat and still took leftovers home to enjoy the next day. They were busy the entire time we were there, but the staff was patient, friendly, and attentive to everyone, both taking out and eating in. Our waitress could not have been sweeter! We will definitely be back and highly recommend you...

Walking into this establishment being the first time ever, the first things that I noticed was you were welcomed in a friendly manner and no matter how busy they were a moment was taken to make sure when one guest left that table was ready for the next. Tonight I tried an order of their potato pancakes, these were not your granny's cakes, nope. These were like potato pancakes on steroids! These were crispy, tasteful, and delicious! Now you can't get potato pancakes without a side of sour cream. Now I ordered 7 specialty cuts with bacon and onions, oh yes for all of you who have never been here it's Sicilian style.
