I was excited by their menu and breakfast is my favorite meal, plus I've grown up in South Carolina so a southern business means they should excel at customer service with southern hospitality. Unfortunately, I was met with neither friendly service nor good food. When I walked in the door and up to the counter, no one greeted me, I only got a "what do you want?" from the cashier. Considering it was my first time and I had my toddler with me, I needed a minute to look at the menu and she was not thrilled by that nor did she help me navigate it by suggesting anything. They did not have any milk for my toddler and they wanted to charge me for water, so he simply shared an unimpressive but expensive strawberry lemonade with me. After I ordered, she just turned away from me to the next person, so I had absolutely no idea whether I was supposed to wait at the counter or sit down, so I chose the closest seat to the counter and just waited confused? We ended up sharing a breakfast platter (biscuit, bacon, grits, and eggs), a hashbrown, and a dessert (some strawberry swirl thing?). At the very least, the biscuit tasted nice, so they got their name right, but I was suprised by how flavorless the grits and hashbrown was, I didn't even know you could take the flavor out of a hashbrown, but they succeeded. The eggs were scrambled so much that they had crumbled and I had to eat them with a spoon, just kinda weird. The dessert was decent, though I never figured out what it was I was eating lol. In the end, it was $17 for the two of us and I left feeling disappointed and wishing I had gone to pretty much anywhere else for breakfast. I will not be returning to this franchise anytime soon,...
Read moreI honestly expected more from the biscuits coming from a placed called "BISCUITville". They're not bad by any means, but I've been twice now and the biscuits themselves just aren't anything to write home about. The sides are pretty good, we liked the cheese grits and hashbrowns. They kind of get you with the coupons they'll send you as they'll word it as "Get a free biscuit when you buy a drink and side" which makes it cost almost the same thing as if you just ordered a biscuit combo. The pricing for a biscuit by itself seems a bit high for what you get. The best word I can use to describe the biscuits is pale. They're very pale white biscuits with no browning or crisp exterior with a fluffy interior. For the price you pay you expect really good biscuits but I'll be honest and say I'd just go a little further down the street to get a biscuit from Bojangles over this and it's cheaper. For comparison, my wife and I sometimes will venture to Maple Street Biscuit Company out in the Simpsonville area and those biscuits are absolutely perfect. Were we expecting that at Biscuitville? No, but we were thinking it would be something similar or just a slightly lesser version of those biscuits when you've got biscuit in your name. I expected this place to blow places like Bojangles and Hardee's out of the water when it came to the biscuits but they just aren't as good. Maybe it's a bit of a learning curve for this location and things will improve over time and I really hope that is the case but for now I'd rather go to other places for a...
Read moreThe food is good, I love the food and I like that they make fresh biscuits throughout the day. I love the prices and food quality. I hope all the locations do well and they build more. The only thing I dont like is they need to remove the blue cones which serve no real practical purpose and it's actually completely idiotic and moronic thinking to leave them there, they are unnecessary. They have a double drive through, so does McDonald's and Zaxby's and Chik fil a and Hardee's and probably many other places...not a single one of those need cones to segregate cars at their locations. The problem with these cones are if your in one lane and you want to change to a shorter or newly vacant lane - you can't, if you want to leave the drive through because they're taking too long or an indecisive customer is taking too long - you can't. Now I will say they are being less stupid about this than when they first opened originally the cones started as soon as you turned in from the main road then you had to drive in a full circle and go around the building and enter the drive through perpendicular to the entrance...talk about totally confusing and unnecessary. Then after being open a month they scaled the cones back some from the front of the building but still down the entire drive through entrance side. Now they scaled it back a bit more to just in front of the lanes but it's time for them to completely disappear. I can speak for basically anyone and everyone and the blue cones are totally idiotic, moronic, stupid and...
