I’m not the biggest fan of Firehouse Subs. Not because of the food but because of the price. I’ve never thought the quality of the food is worth the price you pay. Anyway I had a birthday reward so I decided to get a sub for dinner. First surprise, it’s no longer just a free sub, it’s a free sub when you spend at least $1. Annoying but fine since I was ordering one for my wife too. My wife’s order is pretty basic, she just wants ham, provolone, mayo and some seasoning. I always get an Italian with no tomato. I was shocked how much a medium sub is now. My wife’s very basic sandwich was $9.19 before tax and $10.02 after tax. $10????? For reference you can get a ham and provolone sub at Jersey Mike’s for $7.95 before tax and $8.67 after tax and that sub is leagues better and also bigger with a lot more meat, but I digress. Anyway I placed the order and my wife was able to pick it on her way home from work. We open them up to see that they did the toppings completely backwards even though the ticket is laid out correctly. My Italian was basically just meats and cheese with the smallest amount of mayo on it and my wife’s sub had all the toppings. We fixed the subs ourselves and then I was surprised by the onion. Have these guys ever heard of a knife??? I don’t want a giant string of onion on my sub, cut it up a little bit at least. The subs were also fairly dry and we also said no pickle spears, which was in all caps on the receipt, because we don’t like to throw away food that we won’t eat but low and behold we both got a pickle spear that was quite warm. Again I wasn’t the biggest fan of Firehouse when they were charging $7.99 for a medium sub and they were actually made correctly. This is just more of a sign of the times where we have employees who don’t care and definitely don’t want to be there at work which affects the quality of the food and service and the customers are charged more for a lesser product. I definitely don’t have a desire to return to this location or really any...
Read morePlain and simple, do NOT come to this firehouse. Go to one of the other choices nearby. Ive worked at a firehouse before and this is the most poorly managed and operated FH I've ever seen. There were so many issues with this visit I'm not sure where to start.
-The only bright note in that store was one young african american girl who was doing almost everything. She needs to be the manager of the store. She did more in our 45 minutes in that store than both of the young men behind...
Read moreI do delivery and have done it for 3 years. My experience with delivery will be someone's experience as a customer. Went to the Firehouse around 8PM on a Monday and only one person was there working. There were supposed to be four items in my order I was picking upand literally only one item was sitting there. Two of the items missing were drinks. Guy working there was busy on his phone which is great considering he's the only employee there. Had two headphones in, extremely unprofessional and obviously nobody is managing the place and he is probably likely the manager. I told him I needed two drinks and he handed me cups. I'm a delivery driver, not a food handler. The restaurant is the food handler. This is actually a DHEC violation because driver's hands are not sanitary enough to be touching the inside of cups and lids which is almost unavoidable sometimes when trying to carry multiple of these empty cups. As of last week I have started reporting every restaurant to DHEC that requires drivers to fill up drinks. This was per DHEC for me to start doing this when I called and asked them what the laws were. Drivers are absolutely not allowed to fill up the drinks for other human beings. At least not in an official capacity such as this. Andy left out the chips. You literally have one job dude. I hope I never have to hear...
