This is the worst domino's location in all of lynchburg. The customer service is subpar every single time I go here. Tonight on 10/26/22 I placed an order online at 7:05pm. Arrived at the store at 7:40 to be told that the order hadn't even been put in the oven all the while the order online said completed ready for pickup. Had to wait another 20 minutes just for food to be done. Then when food is finally done the cashier outright argued with me about putting the sauces I had already paid for in the bag. Literally every single time I've ever gone to this one they've misread the receipt and then argued with me when I corrected them. At this point it's borderline theft when I pay for 3-4 extra marinara sauces and they almost refuse to give me what I've already paid for online. Cashier was rude, manager was rude, and I waited close to an hour for two pizzas and an order of cheese sticks only to end up arguing about marinara sauce. And the kicker? When I first arrived and was told my order hadn't even started cooking I was told the water had been shut off to the store and that's why they were struggling. That is DISGUSTING. As someone who has worked in food service the fact that they have gone part, if not all of the day, being incapable of washing their hands, cleaning, or washing the dishes makes me want to vomit. The fact that they are cooking with hands that haven't been washed for potentially hours should really be investigated by the health department. Read moreI have lived at Riverviews Artspace on Jefferson Street for 20 years now and have been a customer at domino’s on Main for most of that time. I have had other pizza options on main street over the years but Domino’s has price and quality on its side to keep me as a customer. When I was in college in Ann Arbor, the original Domino’s was across the street from my dorm.
I’m told I left this review seven months ago so another seven months have gone by and I have continued to rely on Dominos as my go to pizza place. It is a short walk from my home and they always have money saving coupons. I hate it that they’re $7.99 special went from two items to only one item but other than that I am a happy camper. They have forced me to go outside of my comfort zone. So I wait for the 50% off coupons! They come up amazingly frequently. And at least one person in the store, even knows my name! that really counts for some thing when you’re at 77 year old geezer, who likes pizza and even likes it left over the next day.
I am going back to Domino’s tonight because they have another coupon special. That’s about the only time I go there, but they forgive me! And some of them even remember my name of course they have the help that it is on my order! I had the thin crust a couple of times ago because supposedly that is better for people on a diet, but I have already lost my 10 pounds so I don’t have to miss my regular crust anymore as long as I don’t eat the whole pizza at one time. I recently had a disappointing experience at my local Domino's. My wife ordered three pizzas over an hour ago, and according to the app, they were all ready for pickup. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, I discovered that only two of our pizzas had been made, and the third one had not even been started.
While I understand that it's just a pizza place, there’s no excuse for claiming that an order is completed when it clearly hasn’t been fully prepared. The staff did apologize for the wait, but the service left a lot to be desired. I was on the phone with my wife trying to clarify the order when I inquired about the status of our pizzas. Unfortunately, the employees seemed annoyed by my questions and did not treat my order as a priority until I had to ask about the status a second time.
On a positive note, I appreciate that they expedited the preparation of the third pizza when I got there, even though they had several orders ahead of mine. However, the frustration of the initial mix-up and the lack of communication overshadowed that effort.
In conclusion, while the pizzas may be good, the service needs improvement to match the claims made in their app; especially since two pizzas were cold due to sitting on the shelf and waiting.
