Lynden Bob's Burgers & Brew — Restaurant in Lynden

Ok, so this review is going to be honest and fair and I do feel a bit sad about leaving it and I’ll explain why. For years. I had driven by this Bobs, thinking, “Wow, if the that 70’s show outside looks like what the food tastes on the inside, no thanks”. But on a whim, 3 months ago I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised! The food was great, the service was excellent…but the prices were way too high. Nevertheless, since the food was great…I said “Looks like I got a new place to eat in Lynden”. But upon my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and finally 5th visit…I noticed the food consistency is TERRIBLE HERE. That first time…was amazing. They say nothing is ever as good as your first time, and this restaurant proves that. As the food on each time after my first…got worse and worse and worse. I got a steak with 0 seasoning on it the last time. We’re talking no salt and no pepper. Just a slab a cooked meat. Now that would be cool if we were still living in MidEvil times and I’m hanging with a friar and a traveling clown around the Firepit sharing some ale, but this is 2024 and they got professional cooking ranges back there with a whole host of seasonings! I ordered 4 meals at bobs a week ago to go! we are located a mile away. to our suprise the food over all was cold and the fries were old and hard and overcooked. called manager and they suggested that they would just cook us some more fries if that would be ok. i replied that we didnot want to make another trip just for fries tne phone went ocwardly silent so I suggested that they replace the meals at another time they suggested that they would be willing to replace 2 of the 4 meals,. I agreed. come time to order our 2 meals they (MANAGER RANDY) wanted to charge me for one of the two. I explained to them that we had 4 meals that were sub par the manager replied... itwas only two meals I "again corrected her " it was four and we were promissed two replacement meals. she still charged me for one of the two meals promised. BUT SHE HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I STATED THAT I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SECOND AS ONE OF MY GUYS WERE THERE TO PICK UP THE ORDER. My order was not right. The food was cold when it came to me. All of the raves and great reviews I have heard about this place fell flat before I took my first bite. I had to remove the pickles I asked not to be on my burger. Maybe it was an off night, and it was quite busy, but it doesn't explain why my meal was cold and unappealing. I didn't even finish my burger or my fries. I am quite disappointed in the food. The service was the one and only bright spot. Our server made me feel right at home and apologized for how busy it was and kept the drinks coming even though she was very busy all night.
