I’ve tried this location 2 times. The first time I stopped in at the store; the young man working answered the phone in the middle of serving me, and while another customer waiting. He spoke on the phone for at least 2 minutes. It was lengthy considering he was in the middle of helping me when he decided to prioritize the phone call. After getting off he apologized and said, “it was the big boss man.” Which honestly made me wonder if the “boss man” would have wanted him to keep customers waiting or could he have called the boss man back. He kindly gave me a free donut and he told the other lady she would also get one… “for the wait.” Again, I just wonder if that’s what the boss wants them to do. After getting off the phone he finished putting my requested donuts in a small bag, he tossed them on the counter and the top donut fell out onto the counter. He tossed it in the trash and gave me a new one without me even having to ask. My chocolate covered Bavarian cream donuts had no chocolate on them once I got to my car to eat. The donut on the bottom of the small bag was upside down so the chocolate was smushed all over the bottom of the bag, and the other was on the bottom of my fruit filled donut. I ordered donuts once more today, via door dash. Nutella biscoff, chocolate covered bar, double chocolate (received regular/vanilla/white old fashioned with chocolate frosting), and Reese’s peanut butter cup. All very disappointing. No flavor. I ate one in the morning around 0700 and by 1100 the other ones were flattened. I’ve never seen a donut go flat like that. When I ate the second one not only had it deflated there was a thin layer of uncooked dough. The Reese’s peanut butter, same thing with the dough. Although I didn’t inspect the dough on this one. I took one bite and then threw it away. There was barely any Nutella on Nutella donut. The chocolate on both of the donuts was minimal. I don’t recommend. There is a Top pot doughnuts in Edmonds that I recommend, Evergreen...
Read moreBeen coming to this doughnut shop since 2015. They have a great selection. I am changing my star rating to 1 since today on Sunday May 3 at 6:03pm my son placed an order for 1 dozen assorted doughnuts through GRUBHUB. After placing the order which was after 6:03pm. Right after order was placed. He gets a notification saying his order was cancelled and there was no explanation to why. So he places the order second time. Again it gets cancelled. Confused we look online to see if the shop was closed. Google shows shop being open til 7pm. So he places the order again. Finally he gets a call from the shop. The guy was rude from the start and questioned why my son is placing 3 orders. My son said because the first and second order was cancelled without explanation. The guy on the phone was rude and said they didn't have the doughnuts we ordered and that they were closed. End of story. We won't be buying from them again. You lost a loyal customer today....
Read moreSuper expensive, and tastes like a Safeway doughnut. Completely gross. Weird aftertaste, very bread like taste and consistency.
Not good at all. This is the second time I've eaten here, and the second time I've regretted it. Disgusting.
I came back thinking they MUST have gotten better in a couple years. I was wrong. Avoid this place. Take the drive to anywhere else.
Edit- 8/3/2019: I decided to give them another shot. This time the doughnut was lighter, fluffier, and had less of that bland bread taste to it. The chocolate icing didn't have much taste at all. I've upgraded them to mediocre. It's now slightly better than your average grocery store doughnut. I ate a Safeway doughnut yesterday (same type... Always custard filled chocolate iced Bismark, by whatever name the place has it labeled) and can this give a solid comparison. This place was much better. But it is still probably the worst doughnut specialty shop...
