San Fernando Roasted Chicken Lynnwood — Restaurant in Lynnwood

This place is amazeballs! They literally only have 4 tables and there is usually a car or truck practically parked in the doorway, but hopefully that deters others and leaves more food for me! I have tried the chicken, and the flank steak and they are incredible. The yucca fries are my favorite especially combined with the creamy green sauce, she gives you about 6 bottles of sauces some are ketchup etc, but try the green one. Your tastebuds will thank you! I have no idea what authentic Peruvian food tastes like, but I am pretty sure this is it. We try to make excuses to be on that side of town just to stop in for lunch. The lady that serves is super nice and the food is fabulous and inexpensive. I always have leftovers...except for the first time when I couldn't stop eating the yucca fries and I filled too full! Ouch. Try it but don't go at a typically popular time for lunch or dinner because you will have to wait. Wish there were more than 5 stars just for flavor alone.

So went there again today 2.16.18 and ate the sirloin with cilantro sauce...I really need to start taking pictures of the menu and food. It was ridiculously delicious! I always get the yucca fries and she asked if I wanted fried yucca or boiled and I said, "both". The fried was delicious as always, kind of like a really hearty french fry. The boiled had no flavor at all, but was a really nice textural foil for the cilantro meat sauce which the fried yucca couldn't really soak up. The meat was fork tender and the flavor was really really good...bad descriptor I know, but you gotta try for yourself. One of these days I will add photos, but my mouth is faster than my camera at this place. And so nicely priced! Two huge meals for 25...

Sensational meal. I ordered a half chicken and I wanted to try the yucca fries and everything was absolutely delicious.

As someone from the midwest, I have eaten a lot of yardbird in my day and this chicken that I just ate is honestly one of the best I have ever had. The seasoning was mild and flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly; it was succulent and tender through and through. I was able to pull the bones right out of the wing and thigh and the skin was crispy and savory.

Those yucca fries are crazy. They’re a little denser and starchier than potatoes but they’re almost flaky and fluffy inside with a nice thick crispy skin - like a french fry’s bigger, meatier brother.

Genuinely one of the best meals I have had in a while and certainly the best takeaway meal I’ve had since lockdown for the coronavirus started.

I will be back. Probably...

WOW! INCREDIBLY RUDE SERVICE. I called to get a catering estimate (like I have been doing everywhere), I told the lady the plates I wanted and the date.

The lady responded like this: "Do you want to put in the order or are you just calling to get estimate?"

I told her, "My event is next month and I am looking for an estimate"

The lady responded, "I am very busy right now and don't have time, call next week"

AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME.

I was super confused and called back because the conversation was cordial up until that point.

Spoke to the lady again and asked her what was wrong? Why did she hang up on me? and she replied, "Today is Sunday and I am very busy, I make food for people that want to order food"

I will share my experience with everyone I know. This is HORRIBLE...
