Checking out JT's for the first time since they opened; looking to get some food and play some pull tabs. This was a wednesday around 4pm. Total occupancy was approximately 10-12 customers with one bartender and one kitchen staff.
I was hoping to try the chowder however they were out. I went with the fried mushrooms and pot stickers. Food arived promptly (10-15 mins) both were ok and seemed on par with standard grocery store frozen food isle style, down to the thick sauce that came with the potstickers. The cook on both dishes was hot and crispy.
I was eyeing the pull tab bowl the gentleman next to me was playing which I was hoping to go into as he was leaving however when asked they said someone else had already gone into it and that the game was being pulled even though none of the big prizes had been claimed, a little disappointing.
The atmostphere was very clean and new; well arranged throughout the establishment which is a stark difference from the previous owners. One thing I did notice which was very convenient was the electrical outlets under the bar top each had usb-A and usb-c plugins incorporated with the standard power options as well
The staff was very cordial and were timely with their service.
Total bill was $19 and change for the two appetizers and 3-4 fountain diet colas.
I will have to make a more formal review of their main food dishes...
Read moreI go there for Karaoke, Tuesday & Saturday nighrs. Good sound, tall tables, gr8 dance floor, could use a stage w/lighting, I do like the set up! Dart boards on one end, 2 nice pool tables on the other, and karaoke/band/dance floor in the middle. The location is not visible from the main road. It's on the west side of Hwy 99. It's where the old BATRACK (and a couple other pubs) were. Oh! Next to a WA ST Auto licensing Dept. in a strip mall located behind Ivars Seafood and Jiffy Lube. Use their little driveway to get back to the pub and *YOU 'CANNOT' GET THERE FROM THE SAFEWAY PARKING LOT! They could DEF. use some signage/banners out on Hwy 99. I believe that's 1 of the reasons for ownership turnover. Speaking of which, the owner Tim of JTs,Jen & Tim has been there, the few times I went. To be honest, he's not friendly or welcoming, even after I went over and introduced myself to him. He seemed tired and abit suspicious of staff and his patrons. .Bartenders are efficient but rarely smile or very friendly. I'd rather wait a minute for a friend8ly bartender. I rarely go back nor recommend any pub that does not hire enough staff for coverage and take good care of them as well. TIPS= To Insure Proper Service/Song. LuvBug...
Read moreThis is a great sports bar! I heard about this place on a local Facebook group post, so I decided to try it for Monday night football.
They had a great menu as well as daily specials. I had the nachos and also had to try the garlic parmesan wings. The burgers also sounded delicious, and they had a BLT special that seemed to be a big hit. The nachos were great, with lots of meat and everything you would want on great bar nachos. Be cautious of the jalepenos if you don't like spicy food, as they still had seeds in them. The wings were so good. They were crispy and had lots of sauce packed full of flavor!
There are many tvs around the entire bar, so it was easy to watch the game from anywhere.
The owner was there and seemed really friendly. All of the staff were great as well. They also had a drawing for Seahawks prizes at the end of each quarter.
I definitely recommend checking this place out. There are quite a few menu items I would like to try, so I look forward to...
