I love the food and the spot is small but quaint. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a few tables inside as well. It looks clean and smells clean (i have a certain disdain for those local Mexican restaurants that have a faint odor of dirty mop and fabuloso). Now on to the food. My family and I have been there twice (on a Sunday and again on a Monday) the first time I ordered two quesatacos de birria and a taco de asada. I figured if they can't do the basics well then there's no point in continuing our business relationship ship lol. My daughter had a basic burrito de asada, my son had the loaded nachos de pastor and my husband had what I had. The two quesatacos de birria combo comes with a small consome. I give their birria flavors the Jalisciense seal of approval. It tasted just like the authentic birria de chivo that my uncle is known for in our neck of the woods. Just the right amount of salt and various herbs and spices that make it taste like home. The cheesy, greasy goodness in that perfectly grilled tortilla de maiz is obscenely tasty. The taco de asada was also tasty and well put together, the consome is out of this world good IMHO. It was thick, not too salty, warm and the best part, someone took the time to skim the excess fat off the top of it so you're not trying to guzzle down lard to get to the broth. My daughters burrito was pretty straight forward, carne, rice, beans, cebolla and cilantro wrapped up in a flower tortilla. I like that they prepare the carne the way street taqueros do, with just a hint of crispy carmelization around the edges (i hate carne asada that seems more steamed than grilled) which makes me feel that they grill the meat when you order it instead of precooked then letting it sit in a heating receptical only to become a steamy mess. Not at El Asadero! The loaded nachos were prepared with nacho cheese, pastor, beans, white melted cheese, cebolla cilantro and guacamole. They were also very tasty and the chips they use are caseras or homemade style fried tortillas, very light and crispy but sturdy enough to get a good bite into your mouth with a bit of everything on it. Their in house prepared salsas ranged from very spicy to kinda spicy and the aguas frescas were sweet and tasty. My only issue is that my daughters strawberry agua fresca tasted a bit like refrigerator. Like it had been left in a fully stocked fridge uncovered but if that is the worst of it, I'll take it. We paid around $65 for everything including tip so the prices are decent. All in all we had a very good dining experience that day. The 2nd time we went, the only variation in our order is that I ordered the mar y tierra burrito with guacamole added. Let me just say, that Mar Y Tierra burrito (carne asada with grilled shrimp, rice, beans, cebolla, cilantro) is going to be the Star of this establishment. Although their birria is so very tasty, that burrito is absolute fire!!! Give it a try, I suspect you won't be disappointed. I give it a 9 out of 10 for a fast food, street style little taqueria/ restaurant. Oh and I almost forgot, we also ordered their churros with and without la lechera on them. They were so good! Light, fluffy, crispy on the outside, steamy and fluffy on the inside 😋 i would go there just for the Mar y tierra burrito but definitely stay for...

As a new customer, I was disappointed they had no diet sodas - nothing but sweet and sugary regular drinks. Which is fine but it should be an option - you never know when a diabetic can walk into the restaurant. They have water bottles.
The guy taking our order was young and it seemed he wasn't very enthused.
Regardless of it all, the food was good. The birria tacos plate was pretty good. The Sonora style tacos with tortilla de harina were pretty good. 1 taco of these is about 6 bucks. I ordered the birria plate that comes with 3 tacos and consomé and also a Sonora style taco de asada with a tortilla de harina (flour tortilla). My partner ordered 2 Sonora style tacos and a Tijuana style taco and an agua de horchata.
Our total was about $43
It ain't street tasting food though so be prepared. The food is really fresh. But it's not street style. Which is good or bad depending on what you want on a specific day. It's very well made, aesthetically or "premium."
I also felt a little odd getting sliced lemons from their little bar area because the thing where they had them was full of lime juice so the slices were swimming in lime juice. I don't think this was supposed to be this way.
All in all this place is good for a late last second craving. The other items on their menu also look good. I like what they have going but hopefully they make a couple little changes so the next time I visit things...
Read moreI found this place working nearby at Lynnwood city hall. A coworker put me on game. It was like experiencing a taqueria in Mexico. Quality ingredients and a great variety of options from breakfast, lunch to dinner. I had the taco sonora yaki with carne asada and a carnitas asadero taco. The carne asada tasted char grilled and had that great mesquite flavor. Carnitas were tender and flavorful. Highlights are their birria options such as quesobirria tacos or consomme, will definitely try it next time. They have a great salsa selection from mild to spicy alongside jalapenos and onion and frijole de olla (whole stewed pinto beans) great selection of Mexican sodas, cafe de olla and fresh juice drinks such as horchata and jaimaca. Great customer service and staff, very clean and tidy place. Indoor seating as well a sizable outdoor seating area. Plenty of parking as well as handicapped access. I highly...
