Been there twice & that's it for me! In my opinion they did not fulfill the expectations I had when I saw their slogan "The best tamales". The tamales are a bit on the dry side, unless they were made the same day. My first time at this restaurant, I chose to eat there. I had their chicken in green sauce, chicken in red sauce, as well as their pork in red sauce. My tamales were served hot & did not taste spicy, although they do bring a green & red salsa to your table to spice up your food as you please. I decided to try them out one more time. I placed the same order as before, but this time I tried their champurrado. My tamales were very dry! The masa texture was more on the grainy side. It seemed like the tamales had been reheated for too long that they lost their moisture. On top of that they were warm & not hot. The cashier kindly replaced the tamal, but the temperature was the same so I did not eat it. The champurrado was served hot just how I like it, but the taste was bland. Customer service was excellent! The ladies were so nice constantly walking around asking if everything was good. They do have other selections on their menu to enjoy other than tamales. I personally won't be returning because both times I've consumed their food I later have bad heartburn. Give them a try, your experience may...

Read moreWe we're in the area, and stopped for tamales. Unfortunately, in our opinion, these were some of the worst tamales that we've ever had. We ordered queso tamales, and chicken tamales. Way too much masa in both types, the tamales were dry, and the queso tamales had a hard piece of cheese with a strip of jalapeño in the center. We expected the cheese to be melted, and for the tamale to have some type of sauce to it. They did ask if we wanted salsa added, we declined, maybe we should have taken it. We normally go to Whittier, to Sandra's. Best...
