This has been my local favorite since I was a kid. My friends and I used to either walk or bike to this place all the time to buy hotdogs and pizza slices. Casciani's has hands down the absolute best pizza in the suburbs, and in my opinion the best in Chicago. I may be a bit biased because of my history with this awesome restaurant but they really do make great food.
They have a pretty big menu with something for everyone. Keep in mind this is the last place you'll want to go to for a healthy meal. This is the place where you go for a cheat meal or to just enjoy life and eat tasty food and (maybe) feel guilty afterwards.
The prices are very reasonable. A fresh slice of pizza will run you under 3 dollars, and they are generous slices too. They usually have cheese, sausage, and pepperoni on hand. You can always order a full pizza too with more options of course. The hotdogs are fantastic, the fries are always pretty soggy though but that's because they wrap them together with your hotdog. They also have their famous breaded steak sandwich which is a steak sandwich drowned in melted cheese. I always get extra cheese because why not you're already giving your heart a hard time, why not make the most of it?
If you've never been here and you live in the area or you're just passing by then definitely give this place a chance. You can also stop by here and pick up some food then head over to the Blue Nose Brewery just down the street. They'll let you eat in there and you'll also get to try...

Read moreI drive a cargo van around the country delivering cargo (essentially, ima truck driver just in a smaller “truck”) I live on the east coast and obviously know about chicago deep dish pizza. As soon as I knew I was getting a load to chicago I knew id be getting a pizza. I eventually decided to grab a pizza from cascianis, when I walked in I was greeted by the owner (I assume, Italian dude with a bandana) his hospitality definitely made the experience THAT much more enjoyable. The pizza was AMAZING, the price ended up being $31.45 after fees and taxes which IS steep for a pizza but when u take into account the quality of ingredients used (u can tell it was high quality ingredients, not no dominos or pizza hut BS) the large amount of food, the hospitality, the experience etc. its a $31 well worth spending. Not sure when the next time ill be in chicago again, but when I am, ill DEFINITELY be visiting cascianis again. Thanks so much for brightening my...
