Adam Garcia was awesome to work with. He was patient with me and provided excellent customer service! Definitely will be back to see him for my next Ram purchase!
Update: They just wanted the sale and have left me to fend for myself regarding the lemon they sold me. Since I can't drive an hour away for service, I have had to use the Ram service dealer in North Aurora however, I have tried to get in touch with Jack Phalen regarding my recent issues and have not heard back. Please see all the problems that I have had and am still having below:
Absolutely terrible experience since I purchased my new Dodge Ram Promaster 2500. As a business owner with over 15 years of manager experience, leaving a poor review is my absolute last resort however, when you hear my story you will understand why and hopefully NEVER purchase a DODGE vehicle as they will take your money and point fingers as to who is at fault.
Purchased vehicle end of November however, I did not drive it until beginning of January as I needed to outfit it with decals and shelving. Immediately upon driving it I had many communication errors pop up and it failed to start. The rear view cam was also beeping at all times while in reverse (even if there was nothing in back there to trigger the beeping). Brought it in on 1/24/25 and Jessica (my service advisor) had the mechanics troubleshoot for 6 hours and couldn't find any faults. They did an oil change and were also supposed to replace a missing cap for the license plate (under the bumper to bumper warranty). Upon picking up the vehicle I noticed they didn't replace the cap which was no big deal, I figured I'd just let them know at my next oil change. The next couple months I had to resort to starting the vehicle through the app or remote start since the regular push button start would not start the vehicle. I finally had an opening in my schedule and brought it back on on 4/17/25. Once again it was given back to me with no repairs performed.
On 6/14, I get a notification that there is a recall for my vehicle and the parts are in. This was perfect timing as I was leaving for vacation anyway so I dropped the vehicle off on 6/26 and was told it was ready for pick up on 7/1. They said they could take care of the cap and also do another oil change. Upon returning from vacation I went to the dealership on 7/5 (my dad had picked up the vehicle for me) and spoke with a manager who seemed to understand all my frustrations and advised I call customer care at 800-334-9200 to voice all of my concerns to Dodge directly.
I had not backed up my vehicle yet and when I did nothing was fixed. The best part is they never installed any parts (even though when they called they told me the parts were in).
After calling this number 5 times and going through the automated system to get a live agent, the call just says no one is available and hangs up. I recorded the last call and will try to upload as well.
I called and spoke with Chris the service manager who could only offer for me to bring the vehicle back a 4th time. When I told him about being hung up on 5 times and offered to send him the video proof, he said that doesn't concern him. I beg to differ if his own manager is instructing customers to call a number that hangs up on you. I explained this is my only service vehicle so I would need a loaner at this point. He said that is not possible and suggested I call the dealer who sold me the vehicle. Now, here is another manager who is directing me away from them as they do not want to accept any blame.
If Dodge/River Front Ram or Jack Phelan would like to resolve this manner, they have my number to reach out. Meanwhile, I will be shopping for a couple FORD TRANSITS as DODGE is completely unreliable and their customer service is terrible. The only good experience I had was dealing with my service advisor, Jessica who was awesome. Unfortunately, she is just scheduling services and appears to be under extremely...
Read moreI Do Not Recommend I was sold a warranty that my salesman exclaimed was the greatest warranty. “It is a Lifetime Warranty!” I have always received a 5 year warranty and I usually purchase a 6th year of full coverage. With the Lifetime Warranty here, I was paying deductibles in the first two years for the problems I was having with my car. That should never happen! REAL PROBLEM: The real problem with this place is no matter what type of warranty you have, you are unable to get your car in for service for at least a week. When you have car issues, this does not work. Recently, I had to jump start my car. I was thinking it was the battery. I took it to Pep Boys. They checked the battery free of charge. They told me I have plenty of life in my battery. Okay. Two days later. I have to jump it again. In addition, the doors were not responding to my remote (mini van). I change the batteries in both remotes. The problem still exists. I take the car to my mechanic (I have been paying out of pocket to my mechanic for 4 years now due to the inability to get a reasonable service appointment at Jack Phelan), they keep it for two days. My mechanic was unable to emulate the problem. In addition, they informed me that the battery life was fine. No charge! Now, I’m thinking it has something to do with the computer system in the car. Warranty! I call to make an appointment at Jack Phelan. They inform me that they can get my car in next week (it was a full week). Agitated, I take the appointment. Two days later, the car needs to be jumped again. This time, it will not start. Now I have to borrow a car or rent one. I also will need to tow it to the dealer. Nightmare! Once I they get my car, I am informed that there will be a $189 service charge to access the vehicle. It turns out (somehow) that I needed a new battery. Two places told me otherwise (for free). Jack Phelan Chrysler informed me that is was going to be $260 for a new battery. Rather than pay to have it towed elsewhere, I said screw it, put the battery in. It cost me $500 to put a new battery in my car. Insane! Once again, I do not recommend this place. I have now purchased new cars from four dealerships. This is by far the worst when it comes to taking...
Read moreI was waiting to write this review so I can give some positive feedback about my experience with this dealership but unfortunately that won't be the case. The salesman that was showing me their parking lot inventory was Ruben and I told him I was looking for a 4wd or awd suv, among other requirements. Having that in mind he sold me on this certified jeep renegade. As you can see in the official documents signed by the dealship and me, they in fact state that they are selling me a 4wd suv. I gave them my down payment on Saturday, signed the documents on Monday. As we noticed that the suv in fact is only fwd, we came back on Tuesday to try and resolve the issue. After they realized they were at fault, the manager Sebastian said that they did not lie but in fact just did a mistake. Not appreciated approach to a serious issue by any means. After they tried to present me with other options without making an extra effort to show that they are sorry about the illegality that they did, I was not interested in doing business with them anymore. So in order to get my money back that were already gone from my account, I was told that they need a proof obtained by my bank. I went back on Thursday with said proof to where I was told that their accountant already left and will be back tomorrow "to review the validation of the proof" so they can write me a check for the down payment I have them. If they think of another reason as to why they can't give me my money back when I go there again for the 5th time this week, I will be forced to take legal measures. Do not do business with this dealership. They are not professional, the lie, and as they confessed they make mistakes. Take your money and business somewhere where they take their...
