Update - tried again and service was even worse. Totally taking advantage of covid and the fact no customers are allowed inside. It's a big party in there now, Joe we're all stuck outside. Staff was outside smoking, then goes in the seating area messing around with no masks on. They act like because we are locked out we can't see through the glass. Hour wait outside for food, staff was terribly rude when asked for a refund, and the "manager" that refunded was one of the people smoking outside and messing in the seating area earlier. No one wears a mask when you look in the drive up window. Customers were visibly upset at the horrible service. You only have to read the other reviews to see how bad this location is. If you ever "have" to get Popeye's, drive to Countryside. This location should be shut down. Absolutely terrible.
The chicken is always good, but the wait times are not. After a few years in business they still haven't figured out their busy times or the fact people will utilize coupons. Seems almost every time I have to substitute something because they ran out of either mild or spicy and it's 20 minutes if you want to wait. And every time people in line with me are all using the same coupons. Here's a hint - when a coupon comes out on Sunday for cheap chicken dinners, lots of people will use them! So make lots of chicken! The redeeming quality of this place is the friendly staff, who always apologizes for running out of chicken and making you wait, and the chicken is pretty...
Read moreAnticipated the opening of Summits new Popeyes, disappointed with the very poor service my 2nd time going there around 5p in the evening. Not much of crowd to have them so backed up and have hardly any chicken on the racks. Especially when they were overcrowded with employees in the back who just appeared to be messing around. Waited for about 45-1hr on 8pc family meal of mild chicken and a side order of fries. At first they tried offering me the spicy even though I clearly said mild. Not once or twice but roughly 4 times did the man in the back kept saying. The chicken was almost ready. It went from 8mins, too 14 mins back too 8 mins etc. They offered me a drink or pies as I waited, and it was a longer wait than expected. I got home and they forgot the fries. Went afterwards to pick them up and yea I waited in line and I'm sure the same people were waiting as I was already done with my food. Not sure if the people wearing the orange shirts are the managers or supervisors. But the guy there wearing the orange shirt wasn't taking action. Didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. I'll skip on this Popeyes and go too the best one in countryside. Rather spend the time driving for a...
Read moreThis location used to be the best Popeyes I've ever been to. There once was a manager who was so friendly and outgoing. She gave the best customer service experience. I was impressed and bragged to my friends and family about how good the customer service was at that Popeyes. I don't know what happened to her. I haven't seen her there for a couple years.
Today I went through the drive thru. I ordered a 16 piece dinner.
The attitude of the employees while not rude was not friendly. They didn't look happy to be there. That's a sign of poor management. Either they are unhappy under the current management or the management hired the wrong type of staff.
When I got home and opened my box of chicken my daughter and I noticed how dark in color the chicken seemed to be. Turned out the chicken was burnt, overcooked and dry. The burnt taste was quite prevalent.
I was so disappointed because I like Popeyes chicken and I was looking forward to dinner because I hadn't had Popeyes for months.
It's upsetting that the staff cares so little that they'd pass off burnt chicken to the customer instead of making a new batch of...
