Food was as I expected. My problem is with the service. The restaurant was completely empty when I came in; no other costumers. No friendly greeting when I came in, just computer ordering stations. I get it. TB just trying to more efficient, I guess. Except it wasn't more efficient.
Placed my order and requested a text receipt. Did not get the receipt. Sat and waited for ten minutes, which felt like a long time as there were no other customers except a few at the Drive-thru. Two other guys came in and also placed orders. After a few minutes, their order was ready. So now I know something is definitely up. Annoying, but it happens.
I go up to the counter and finally get to speak to an actual employee. I explain that I've been waiting a long time. She asks me if I placed an order. I tell her that I did, but something must have gone wrong. She walks away. I wait some more. Another employee asks me if I need something. While I try to explain the situation to him, he just looks at me blankly, like he can't quite comprehend what I'm saying.
Turns out the fist employee has gone and found my order and is putting it together. Obviously, they completely overlooked it. I got no apologies, no "Sorry, about that.", nothing. Twenty minutes after ordering, she brings my tray of food. I have to ask for a cup for the drink I paid for. Again, no apology. The two employees that I interacted with just seem so dazed...
Read moreWe drove 20 minutes to try the new dipping tacos. When we got there, we used the kiosks to place our orders. AFTER placing the orders, we were told they were out of taco tortillas, and they offered crunchy instead - we did not want crunchy. So, they said they would give us chalupa bread instead, at no extra charge (why would that even be an option as this wasn't our fault). They then told us that the dipping taco meat would take 20 minutes to prepare because they were out - we opted to wait. They brought us all our other food immediately (after asking them not to, since this was take-out) which meant it would get cold while waiting. We asked that they remake it when the rest was ready, to which we were met with eye-rolling and the employee exclaiming "well, they don't want their food!" And another stating "damn!" We were then told they were completely out of mountain dew, and diet mountain dew (this is what we ordered, 5 drinks' worth) and didn't offer to check their back stock further. We finally received all food for our order, got home, and discovered a couple of missing items and a few incorrectly made items. The food was thrown together and very lack-luster. We were very disappointed, especially since this was $70...
Read moreThis is the 2nd attempt to eat at the Lytle Taco Bell with no success. The 1st time was at 8am on a Monday morning after Dallas NFL the previous Sunday night football game. There was 1 employee sitting in the front of the store on the curb waiting for the manager to come in so he could open the restaurant. He apologized for the place still being closed but said “this happens after Dallas games”! Today we went back again (figured we’d give another try)…..pulled up to drive thru and found a note taped to the order speaker saying “closed from 10-11am). Ok so we were fine, it was 8:45am, waited, and waited but couldn’t get any response from the inside so we pulled around to the drive thru window and knocked on the window. The manager came to the window finally and said, “we don’t open til 11am”! Huge signs on the building for breakfast menu, which is what we wanted to try! This place is a joke and I would not recommend trying to eat here before noon and definitely not after a Cowboy’s game. Apparently the manager has his own schedule regardless of what is advertised...
