Food was tasty, although the fried shrimp had a little too much breading, and possibly was a tad overcooked, and tasted dry because of it. The happy hour mini boxes I got were great portion sizes for the cost. However, mild was still too spicy for my kids. They were able to eat it but not in one sitting. My meal was also too spicy. Even though I didn't select the highest spicy range, it had my mouth, and area outside my lips on fire! Still it was very good, in a very large portion. Unfortunately their menu online doesn't say what is inside the boxes. So ordering that happy hour meals was kind of like ordering a mystery box. I didn't know it'd be giant turkey neck and maybe even turkey tail in there which is something I don't even eat. However, the steamed shrimp and potato were absolutely delicious, the corn was overcooked and hard to eat. I look forward to going back, it was definitely Good enough for seconds, and like I said the portion sizes are perfect! When I entered there was a man in the dining room and even though he saw me he did not greet me. I suppose he was overwhelmed with orders being that they just opened, but he still should have greeted me. Another person came in from the kitchen into the dining area. He greeted me immediately, and handed me my online ordered food, which was already on the counter, packed and ready to go. The dining room got a bit of remodeling from the last owners, some really nice fresh paint with a cool wall mural, new dining tables and chairs and very much accessible for...
Read moreMy girls and I came here over the weekend and we were beyond impressed with this spot. It’s tucked in the corner of the shopping plaza, so if you aren’t looking for it, you could miss it. But trust me, you don’t want to. Let’s start with the options - wings, poboys, boils, fried rice variety, shrimp boxes, fried seafood, sides that are really like appetizers - they have EVERYTHING! It took us a minute to decide because there was so much to choose from. We all knew we wanted a boil and decided to each get one other item for all of us to share and try, which leads me to my next shoutout and probably the most important - the price! Listen, you can’t beat it. My total tab was ~$45 for a combination boil and a 3 catfish filet plate. That’s the price of boil alone at some other spots! In fact, I don’t think any of paid more than that and we walked out with plenty. And that leads me to the last point, portion sizes. For the price you pay, this spot gives you more than enough! None of could finish our boil bc it was so much and the shrimp are HUGE! We tried to taste the second dishes we all ordered and after a few pieces of each, we were stuffed. We all walked out with to-go boxes and had enough for two more rounds!
All in all, this place is great and we will...
Read moreThe absolutely worst so called seafood experience ever. A clear sign of no decency or appreciation for their patrons, by offering what is suppose to be SWAI - a mediocre nutritional profile fish that should best be avoided.
It’s imported from densely packed fish farms, where chemicals and antibiotics are used in excess, causing water pollution and health concerns.
And you describe your business as seafood establishment. There was no other fish but swai, the menu was completely unclear. Did show if sides came wuth your order. The cashier stated that there were options. Most of the items listed on the menu were unavailable...
Our Swai texture was Gray Coloring: While swai can have various flesh colors, including white, off-white, light pink, dark pink, a grayish tint can be a sign of spoilage.
The most obvious sign to disgard after one bite was the fish separating from the batter.
Most likely Improper Handling/Storage: Fish that has been in long-term freezer storage, thawed and refrozen, or improperly handled at any point can develop freezer burn or absorb excess water, leading to a mushy texture.
You have been warned, eat at...
