Cod Tail of Macon — Restaurant in Macon

There shrimp and flounder is the BEST on the East side of Macon, East Macon doesn't have a lot of good places to eat and Great food. WELL NOW THEY HAVE ONE MORE PLACE. They do need to have hush puppies to go with their meals. This is the thing me and my bride get a simple meal consist of 30 shrimp and two pieces of fish and fries we tell them to hold the coleslaw hold the bread and the lady looks at us like we're crazy when we only get two small tartar sauces and I asked her for more the lady looks at me like I'm crazy how can you eat dirty shrimp and two pieces of fish would not even a quarter cup of tartar sauce. I go back in there one more time and only get two little things of tartar sauce I'm just going to get my money back I'm not going to step back in there I'll spend almost $30 in there and she just going to give me two little things of tartar sauce with two meals no not going to happen anymore. But they going to waste some food and I'm going to show make them cook it and then when I asked for more tartar sauce she don't give it to me it looks at me real funny I'm going to take the food back give me my money back...

This has to be the worst seafood place in Macon , I only ordered because uber eats gave me $25 off so my total only end up being like $14.xx for a cluster of crab legs/shrimp corn and potatoes

The crablegs are SMALL compared to other places in Macon, I’m talking I felt bad for the crab like damn they slaughtered a premie baby crab for no reason because It was so small & barely no MEAT INSIDE!! They could have waited for him to grow more!! That crab had to be vegan, the runt of the bunch, or something because it was literally almost no meat!!

The shrimp was small also!!

I ordered extra hot Cajun/garlic butter but wasn’t NOTHING hot or let alone extra hot about it!! The seasoning was a -10!! It had absolutely no spice level to it!

Potatoes were trash The corn was thick tho! It was a good size but the taste of it was nothing since the seasoning was trash . I can’t believe I wasted my UE promo code let alone my $14.xx in this place!

I hope y’all do better for other customers but me personally? I’d never order from here again food is to high to waste money...

Staying on a different side of town than my normal trips to Macon and this little spot popped up when on the hunt for a quick dinner.

Had a hankering for crabs and fish so that what I went with.

The snow crab came with one cluster, potatoes, and corn. I opted for their combination sauce/seasoning with the option to make it spicy. Overall needs a little work. There was not seasoning on thr food it all sat at the bottom of the bag. Also the corn and potatoes could have cooked for a little.bit longer.

Off to the catfish meal, more than plentiful. But the fries were a no for me. They just missed the mark. The catfish was just ok. I like that the batter was light, but could have used a little more seasoning. Overall just shy of $30 for both meals.

I will give them credit for being clean and quick with the food. If placed my order online and arrived about 15 mins later and my food was ready for pickup.
